These are all really inspiring! I read through them all and decided to make my own, even though I'm just starting out on my journey. Maybe in a few months I'll be able to share my own accomplishments.
Here's my story behind this picture-
This picture is a few years old so you might notice how small my arms/legs are compared to the shirt. I wore oversized shirts for the longest time growing up since I didn't want to outgrow them during adolescence. I was a skinny girl when I was younger, but eventually I started to eat more unhealthily and my oversized shirts actually got tight at one point. If that picture were taken of me in that shirt today, I'd fill it out pretty closely.
This is part of my motivation because back when I was much smaller, I kept myself covered in those oversized shirts and felt so much larger than I actually was. This time when I get back to a healthier me, I'm going to finally trash all those shirts I've clung to for the past decade and find ones that actually fit me.
Also this picture seemed fitting since walking on my beach is my absolute favorite thing to do. I always joke that if I lived closer to the beach, I'd have no issue staying in shape since I could walk along the beach forever.
I find this tremendously inspiring. It helps me remember why I need to find my discipline today to become the person I know I can be.0 -
Absolutely beautiful and inspiring!!
I too was someone who always used to wear shirts that were too big (usually my older brothers).0 -

So inspirational!!!
I'm just getting back into MFP and my fitbit... Trying to lose the baby weight and then some. You all are so amazing, only hoping I will be able to post pics soon too
@docfmb
Don't wait for before and after pics. Take some time now to create something meaningful to you - it could be why you started, a goal you want to achieve, or a mantra that keeps you going when you're looking for an excuse to give up. Once you're done, post it somewhere where you can see it often like your phone/computer/mirror and then share it here to inspire someone else.
In truth, most of the people who have inspired me on this site are still working towards their own personal success stories. Their enthusiasm & dedication help to motivate me and keep me working toward mine through the ups and downs.
(PS - What kind of fitbit do you have? Mine is the flex - love it!)0 -

Yes!!!! Beautiful! and what an adorable little princess!0 -
I used to look in the mirror and hate who I saw. And really, I wasn't being fair to myself.
I may have only lost 20 pounds (give or take), and 6 dress sizes...
BUT...
Along my way to the body I have now, I found:
- amazing new friends
- my dearest beast
- an understanding of what calories are and how my body uses them
- an understanding of nutrition at a much better level
- an inner strength
- an outer strength
- the inner badass beast
I look in the mirror now, and I am not filled with self hatred. Not because of the changes in my body, but rather, because of the changes in my heart.
Just wanted Mireygal76 on this page She can be my Friday bump :blushing:0 -

Hi there! I am currently participating in The Walking Dead Challenge (Go Team Beth!!!), and one of our assignments is to post a fitspo at some point in the competition. Here is mine.
It was taken at Oralia's Kitchen, which is an amazing taqueria in Richmond, CA. All San Francisco Bay Areans need to check that place out like now. Anyway, it happens to be just two blocks away from my gym. So when I'm working out, I'm often inspired to up the intensity, so I can indulge afterward. And sometimes, when I don't even feel like going to the gym, Oralia's motivates me to get my butt off the couch. See, the thing is that while I love that working out makes me healthier, more energetic, and more confident, what I love most about working out is that it makes me HUNGRIER. :drinker:
