 Still going in the right direction! I weigh daily and have noticed something pretty interesting about the pattern in my weight loss, mainly dealing with water weight. If my prediction is correct, I should hit my goal at the end of the month as long as I keep doing what I've been doing.

 Good thing 1: I did not gain.
 Good thing 2: I was honest about how discouraged I was that the scale shot up five pounds in a week, and how terrifying it is for me to admit "failure" in public (recovering EDer here), and the people in this group PMed me and said "It's okay. Don't stop." I'm getting kind of teary-eyed just typing this.
 I mean, first of all, there are so many messages on here it is hard to read them all. Secondly, the boards are FULL of "Waaah, I didn't lose!", many of those messages from completely irrational people who refuse to let themselves be helped. I don't know about you, but I get "compassion fatigue" after a while.
 Thirdly, every single one of us on this thread has had weeks (or months, or years) where we just feel dog-sorry for ourselves. Those of us who have pulled through that must have moments, at least, where we feel like saying "Look, just do the d*mn work. The world can't hold your hand."
 And I know there are times for that kind of tough love, but my last post was not one of those times -- I was wrapped around the axle of some scary stuff that I thought had been long-buried, and the messages I got from this group were kind of magic because it was like every single writer understood that right then I was looking back at my former self and not wanting to fall back there, and every single writer was saying "Sssh, it's okay. You don't have to go back. You can keep marching in place. We've all marched in place."
 So, thanks. I can't pay back the kindness of anyone here, but you can bet I'll pay it forward. I just hope it does someone else the good that your kindness has done me.0

 I lost a fair chunk of weight this week. I had just started focussing on my health again at the beginning of the week as I had really slacked off over Christmas/New Year (Summer BBQ season here). This meant counting calories accurately and drinking the water I'm supposed to. This has been reflected on the scales, however I suspect next week's result will be a lot smaller.0
