I like to mix instant coffee with chocolate protein powder and almond milk.
    Super healthy mocha!!

My favorite smoothie is just frozen banana chunks. Maybe a tiny bit of water or milk to help it get started blending.
It has the texture of soft serve ice cream. :'D
Great to mix with cinnamon, or cocoa powder, or peanut butter, or any fruit~

OMG I'm going to have to try the coffee smoothie. That sounds fantastic!

My smoothie of the day was
    1 cup spinach
    1 banana
    1 apple
    1 pear
    1 cup of pineapple
    water and ice

    This is my new fave.

    Today:
    1/2 cup ice cubes
    1/2 cup cold water
    1 medium honeycrisp apple
    1/2 cup baby carrots
    1 clementine
    1 tbs chia seeds

It's a little bit more "carroty" than I would like, but drinkable. Maybe only 1/4 cup carrots next time.

    1sp. macha powder

    1 tbsp natural peanut butter
    1/3 cup rolled oats
    2 scoops vanilla protein
    1 cup soy milk
    1/2 banana
  • 1 carrot
    1 stalk celery
2 cups fresh baby greens (spinach, kale, etc)
    3/4 cup frozen mangoes
3/4 cup frozen three berry mix (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
    1 medium banana
    1 cup water
    1 tsp Omega oil

I usually try to blend vegetables into my morning smoothie. From what I have read online, as long as you have 60% fruit and 40% vegetables, you probably won't even taste the vegetables. If you are new to 'green' smoothies you might want to add a little less veggies than this recipe. The dark color of the berries makes this smoothie purple so it is good for people who are off-put by brown or green colored smoothies.

Love my Vitamix! My go-to mix (call it a shake or a smoothie...whatever lol):

-one cup raw & organic homemade almond milk
    -one cup organic coffee
    -one organic banana
    -two scoops Sunwarrior vanilla protein
    -half a teaspoon organic cinnamon
-one tablespoon homemade superfood mix (maca, hemp powder, spirulina, flax meal and chia seeds)

    Optional items:

    -liquid calcium/magnesium
    -bee pollen
    -extra maca
-stevia, honey or agave for sweetness

I like to freeze mine and eat it still slightly frozen. Yummy!

I got a Vitamix for my birthday and am trying to get a lot of use out of it. Also, I eat more fruits and veggies when I do smoothies, so I am always looking for new combinations. What went in your smoothie today?

    Last night, mine was:
    1 cup frozen cherries
1/2 cup low fat chocolate milk
    1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
    1 tbs chia seeds

It was really a dessert smoothie. ;) In fact, I think I could freeze it and eat it as ice cream.

Note to self...get frozen cherries! This sounds amazing!

Those of you who use water - and/or ice - doesn't the smoothie get, well, watery? I like mine thick! And I have never tried adding vegetables yet.

I just put in 5 ice cubes and about 2 inches of water and it's still pretty thick. I just have a lot more of other stuff that it doesn't really get watery. Also I have trouble getting it to blend if the water isn't in there.
