  • Hi everyone! I would love to receive support and encouragement and in return reciprocate it!! I'm 41 and desperately trying to lose 25 lbs and also maintain the weight loss. I'm not fond of exercise nor does it come natural for me but I realize its healthy and good for me. Please feel free to add me.

Add me  Because I also started up again and I know that I am going to get to my goal this time. I also have about 80 pounds to lose. I will be 44 this year. I have always struggled with my weight my whole life. Which I have decided recently I am going to make my dreams come true this year. We can do this

Hello! I am looking for more friends too, and can always use the motivation & support. I'm 40, have lost about 40 lbs with MFP over the past year, but have at least another 40 to go. I don't always post a lot, but I log in every day, and give lots of "likes" and try to be supportive! :) Good luck to everyone on your journeys!

    Dear Friend,
We are on the same journey and I would like to share four tools that have the ability to ensure our success:

    1. A definable, written need to change.
    2. A fact based plan that we can believe in and work daily.
    3. A focus more powerful than any negativity we encounter.
    4. A heart felt vision that we see, feel and rehearse daily.

Watch the video- Eat Fast and Live Longer by Dr Michael Mosley.
    https://player.vimeo.com/video/54089463 .

No companies to join, no products to buy. Just incredible results
    based on wide-ranging scientific research.

I hope that you find this film as valuable as I have. It's a life changer...changed mine. I'm over 30lbs down, feeling great, with all vitals back to normal.

Looking forward to seeing you out on the trail,
    All the best,
    Barry

I'm 42, 43 in August and I have had some physical issues lately (car accident so dr told me no exercise). I am also post menopausal, I had a hysterectomy at 36 and was just taken off of hormone supplements about 4 months ago. Since January I have gained 20 pounds because of the inability to exercise and being an emotional eater. I have also been really bored so food just was "there". I would love to have some support from people my age and be able to support others as well

Hi everyone, I am smack in the middle of my 44th year. I've lost a little over 10 lbs since December, with 30-40 more to go. I just got back from a mini vacation to the Texas hill country where I did not watch my food or beverage :drinker: calories very closely so I'm getting back on track today. I'm in my last month of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and trying to decide what to do next ... Leaning towards P90X3. My bf and I are going to build a power rack but I want to wait until July when I'll be a year past rotator cuff surgery before I start lifting heavy.

I'm on here pretty much everyday and try to offer support to my friends, and I'm always open for more.

Hey, feel free to add me. I'm on here almost every day. Sometimes I have more time to befriend and encourage than others. I joined April 15 of last year. If you're curious about age, I'll be 60 in about 12 days, but certainly don't feel it! :)

Best wishes for your success on this journey. Anybody else reading this is certainly welcome to add me as a friend too. That would be great!

Hi All, I am forty-two and haven't worried to much about my health.

Each year I see a slow age related weight gain and think I need to start paying more attention. I think I would like to realistically get down to 145 - which is what I was for about decade. So I need to lose about 15 pounds. Arghh..just can't stop putting cream in my coffee and ending the day with a glass of wine (or two). And I have guilt about owning two schnauzers and never going for walk. Im a busy mom and have decided to make time to get healthy - or one can always hope!! :)
  • <<<<<.....I will be 44 in May.....started out here with a different name in January 2012.....was 172lb.....got down to 118lb and then started lifting and weight crept up to 130lb.....trying to get back down to 120lb.....feel free to add me....I am here everyday

Hi, I'm not new to MFP but I'm hoping to contact with some women and men over 40 for support and encouragement. I have around 100 more pounds to lose. I just find the support and friendship I find on here so helpful. Let's encourage each other.
