The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to make healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle and maintain those changes for the rest of your life. Anything other than that is a fad that won't work and, in the case of extreme diets/fasts will just make you miserable to boot.
As far as going vegetarian, I've been vegetarian for 12 years and totally vegan for about a year. I like it and I don't have too much trouble. Anytime someone asks me about switching to a vegetarian/vegan diet I recommend they start off with one vegetarian day per week and gradually adding days. Even if you decide it's not for you, you can get a lot of benefits just from cutting back on meat and keeping that one veggie day.0 -

Seriously though, this water diet sounds like a terrible idea. Just log your calories, keep yourself in a deficit and move more. It doesn't have to be so complicated.0 -
