Soda intake, portion size, and cutting out my random Hershey Kiss here and Thin Mint there and so on. Makes a huge difference.0

I changed My thoughts about food and losing weight. I came to the realization that going on a "diet" was not going to work for me, and what I really needed to change was my way of using food (solution to boredom and loneliness) and make more lifestyle changes that I could maintain indefinitely. I signed up for a 5K run as a motivator to exercise, and set small targets for myself for weight. The biggest thing for me is I do not punish myself with guilt for enjoying food that is considered "bad" for me, I appreciate it, recognize it as a "treat" and move forward. Another thing that helps is asking myself before indulging in a treat "Is this worth gaining weight for?" It is amazing the difference how much more satisfying things are when I answer "yes" and more importantly, it is amazing the number of things that I put down after answering "no"0

Stopped eating premade frozen and microwavable foods. I started making my own nutritious meals and it honestly makes me more happy even if more time consuming or less pretty than the packaging on that past stuff.0

exercise definitely. Ive been working out since Oct. steadily going to the gym every MWF. I haven't lost any weight though my body has changed.
Now it's time to change something else... my calorie consumption. This is always a challenge b/c I'm so hungry. But I've done it in the past and can do it again!0 -

Portion Sizes.....Omg I used to pile food on my plate and didn't know when to stop. Now I follow the guidelines of the pyramid, half my plate is veggies, 1/4 protein source, 1/4 grain or fruit. Usually I do one or the other.0

I changed my mindset about "dieting." I absolutely knew that my changes had to be for a lifetime. I would not always be able to or want to say no to everything that was "bad" but I needed to learn how to eat those things in moderation and how to learn to love to exercise; I needed those things as part of my life to be healthy. I no longer want to look like a model, unless it's a fitness model. First and foremost I want to be fit and healthy. I want to feed my body well, but if I want to have some pizza here and there, that's okay. If my kids want to go out for ice cream, I can have a small cone and be satisfied. And if I want to go out and eat and drink what I want for a night, it's fine, too. I guess what I'm saying is I don't say no to everything all the time, this way I don't feel deprived and like I can't stick with it. My weight loss isn't as quick as some (62 lbs in 15 months) but I feel like I can keep going this way for a life time and I will meet my goal in about 1 years time and I'm just fine with that.0

My mind. Telling myself that I don't care was not doing it for me, not when I was about to be 300lbs!0

I'm a "cold turkey" sort of person, and I am going all out this time! I have been depressed for the majority of my life, and it is time for a change!0 -
I downloaded an app to track carbs and cut down to 75g at most. Because of this, naturally my calorie intake went down drastically!0
