I don't see the point to this lift! What say you? : )

I think of Kevin Ogar who was paralyzed this year after a regular lift he was attempting went wrong, to see this makes me cringe!

I haven't even really started properly and all I see is stupid.

I don't see the point of it either. The amount of weight I can OHP is peanuts compared to what I can squat, so why combine an OHP with a squat? Even a pistol squat.... because my squat / 2 > my OHP....

oh and it looks pretty dangerous too....

That is the stupidest thing I have seen in ages. Why set yourself for injury just to show off.

That's not something that I think I'll be adding to my routine . . .

Bad enough with a foot on the floor, but the one on the kettlebell???

I can't see the last photo (work firewall). I'm afraid of it after the kettlebell one.

Pistol squats? They're amazing for balance and strength.

ETA: Learn what the exercise is before trying to bring it down saying it's bad.

So there isn't a safer way to gain balance and strength?

That's like the "*kitten*" of weightlifting. I think they should take it to the next level and do that while riding downhill in a shopping cart.

This I can agree with, when something is pointless and done only for ego, that's when people hurt themselves

lol crossfit must be the only training protocol/'sport' where participants intentionally set out to hurt themselves.

Great. Now all we need is some lawyer suing Ivanko into putting a sticker on all kettle bells saying "Please do not stand on the handle or bell."

Pistol squats are great.....pistol squats with a loaded barbell overhead is crazy, IMO. And the KB one is just ridiculous. Although I will say, those people have incredible balance and control
    still not recommended however.

Works a lot of the muscles used to stabilize and balance the body. While I wouldn't be adding it to my routine, I can see the value. It's no less valid than some of the exercises the "so-called experts" recommend.

You'll see more results, if done properly, than all the fad diets combined.

I think the exercise standing on the kettlebell is called 'ballcrushers'
