WOW some people ... suggesting that the OP is lying and making it up is a bit rich..... Don't believe the post .. just ignore it then not need to go off on one :ohwell:0

Complain to the gym, tell them you don't feel like coming back, and then they will probably either offer you a free pass or speak to him and ask him to either not talk to other members or leave.
Trust me, I am the MASTER of complaining and getting free **** for it. I wish more people called me fat at gyms and restaurants.0 -
if you break the elliptical while you are on it, you are my hero! That means that you were killing it at the gym! good job!!!! Those machines at the gym are industrial strength and made to support very high weights..... so get after it!0

Wow! Wow wow! This is beyond belief.0
-
Just give a little laugh and say I hope you hit a tree on the way home. The world could use less *kitten* like you. Idk? Too harsh?0
-
How cruel can human beings get. Sorry I had to go through that. That is just so cruel. Go do your thing. Know his insults r a reflection of him, not you.0
-
Just don't let some stupid person like this discourage you from pursuing your goals. Keep it up regardless of what others may say or think! Good luck!0

My guess is that this post is total BS! Nobody is going to say something like that, come on people don't be so gullible.
Many people do say such things. Inside and outside the gym. I'm more than double the OPs age and a woman. I can guarantee from personal experience that nasty people who say rude and mean things to strangers for no valid reason live in the United States, on planet Earth.0 -
Not sure if BS or not, but I know there are people like this that exist. Once saw a 'friend' post that she was disgusted by how many fat people were at her gym on her FB. Insta-deleted her.0

You are the customer every person that's ever worked retail/food industry jobs hate.
I'm sure you're a good person and all, but ugh.0 -
That person was an *kitten*! Glad the world isn't full of people who'll say mean things. Just keep your focus and coming back here for support!0

Haha I have worked in CS for years. I only complain if the person is rude or if something is REALLY terrible, and why shouldn't I if I am paying money? I ain't gonna be insulted when I am paying money, nawh-uh honey.
Also, who cares if this is fake? This kind of thing DOES happen...people just need to learn to stand up for themselves and have better comebacks.0 -
ignore what anyone says, u can lose weight, lot harder to stop being a total idiot, don't worry what anyone else says, bullies like this have got problems, u should not take this from anyone, just do work out, if allowed listen to music on ipod at same time and ignore everyone, i'm disabled and i always go for walks with my music in my ears so i can't hear anyone0

Okay, that assmunch was totally not professional. Good for you for working on your health and taking the high road and not responding to that tripe, but I would have been escorted from the MD office. I hope you found another physician after this. My old bariatric doctor told me at a visit when after a month, I did not have a loss that I needed to put a photo of a woman in a bikini on my fridge to stop me from eating. I had already lost 63 lbs, and that hurt me so much that I had a break down in his office. The nurse came in and consoled me and told me he was an *kitten*. That made me feel better, but what it better is that he was busted for giving diet pills to women that were not overweight, simply because they asked for them. Lost his license.0

Mean people suck. Don't let his nasty attitude stop u...keep running on that elliptical, and running and running with a smile on your face. You paid for your gym membership too and shouldn't have to put up with such abuse. I agree, report his dumb *kitten*. Some people make them selves bigger by making others feel small. Let him leave, not u. Here's to YOU!:drinker:0

I went to the gym today and was on the elliptical and a man came up to me and told me I look like I was about to break the machine. I asked him what he meant and he told me a person my size should not be using expensive equipment and that his gym membership fees were contributing to fat people like me breaking gym equipment. I don't feel like ever going back to the gym. Has anyone ever had a similar problem?
Wow, that was rude of him! I don't workout at a gym, I prefer to make my own gym at home or outdoors. But if someone approached me and said that to me, I would have made a snarky comment back and or reported him for harassment. I would also suggest a set oh headphones next time and an mp3 player or music player and just focus on your workout. There are jerks everywhere unfortunately.0 -
Either OP had a different account, or is just trolling... I've read this EXACT post here at some point in the last 7-8 months. Just sayin'.
Does it matter? Even if the post isn't "real", the advice still stands for anyone that MIGHT be experiencing the same issue. You don't have to necessarily post on the forums to get good advice - some people who don't post at all might be nodding their heads up and down going, "Yeah. That's happening to me. Maybe I can take this advice, too."
You never know who you MIGHT be helping - or hurting - when a person asks for advice. It's not for me to say whether the post is "legit" or not. If the advice given to the question is valuable, as far as I'm concerned, it wasn't a waste of time.
I've never experienced anyone saying anything to me at the gym, but I have my headphones turned up so high that they'd have to shout it and even then I'd only be able to read lips.
My advice is to get a good pair of headphones (Bose or Sennheisers are great) and if you can read lips, let 'em read your middle finger.0 -

OP made an introductory message 6 months ago with age/name/weight/goals, and I doubt anyone would go to so much trouble just to set up a roll bread six months in advance, so I think OP is legit.
My reply would have been simple and short:
"There's nothing you can do about it, dude. Deal with it."0 -
Holy hell, what a douche! I would definitely report him to gym management, and if they don't do anything, take YOUR membership fees elsewhere!0
