My metal tastes constantly twist and change, but at the moment I'm back to good ol' euro power metal:
Sonata Arctica
Hammerfall
At Vance
Twilightning
Primal Fear
Dream Evil
Angra
Powerwolf
I'm sure in a couple months I'll be back to Scandinavian Melo-death.0 -
Ok where were you all when I posted a similar thread! Though I did say metal, rock and hardcore music...still!
I listened to Metalicca, Megadeth, KoRn, Black Sabbath, Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera etc as a teen, still like most of those
Now I also love Bring Me the Horizon, Sleeping Giant, For Today, Saving Grace, 5FDP, Red, Avenged Sevenfold...tho some of those aren't technically metal...0 -

So happy to see Korn mentioned so much. I can never find korn heads IRL. They are my favorite. Also like Slayer, Messugah, Dimmu Borgir, Primus, Orgy, just a ton of ****.
The local music in my area is off the hook lately... check some of it out...

Trivium's new drummer is not bad. He doesn't use triggers to help him be seamless. Their old drummer used them. That's why he "seemed" better. Being a drummer myself, I'd rather hear someone who's not 100% perfect. It tells me that they don't use added effects to enhance their style.0 -

I see a ton listed that I love. Anyone into TesseracT, Cloud kicker, Mastadon?0
-
Has anyone mentioned Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad)?? He's definitely metal, but may be more in the progressive metal category. Definitely worth checking out though if you haven't heard his stuff.0
