Omg, so I was keeping a steady weight on the same calorie intake and then BOOM! Went from 116.4 to 118.6 in just 24 hours! Thought it might be water retention but its been 4 whole days! I just started the next cycle of my weightlifting Monday, I biked on Saturday which I never do, and then I think I ate my ice cream after 10pm one night. What's going on? Here's my weight data for the past week-
Friday- 116.2
Saturday- 116.6
Sunday- 118.4
Monday- 118
Tuesday- 117.2
Wednesday- 117.2
Thursday- 117.6

It is funny to take a minor freakout and turn it into a major freakout.0 -
But the scale is my alpha and omega. I need to know these things. I always weigh morning, naked, after my first pees. How long does water retention last? Could it happen for a whole week?
Two weeks ago, I was 161.2 pounds. Two days ago I was 171.2. This morning, I was 166.
I had all the foods over the weekend. Wasn't regular. AND HAD CRAZY DOMS.
Take a deep breath, and give it a few days.

Nah, I've been up by 2.2 lbs in a day, and I've been known to begin and end my day with the scale.
Now, had she declared that she gained 20 lbs in a day, I definitely wouldn't have bought it.0 -

Yeah I wouldn't weigh everyday, it's too frustrating since you fluctuate up to 5lbs in a day. That is why I stick to once a week and go by that, I do it same day, same time(roughly) and same way everytime.0

sometimes I find if I've had a couple of 'overindulged' days it can take up to a week to show on the scales. Did you have a generous day on the food last week? Hope the training is going well, I'm 3rd week into it and love all pro. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction with that!0

Wow you got your period trained to an exact day of the month? Yes weight can jump 2 lbs in a day I've had mine jump 5 in a day. Water weight fluctuations due to water retention. And it happens at all parts of your menstrual cycle not just when your period is starting.
Even if you don't get the same sleep it an change. Lots of reason. You're weight seems pretty stable I think a once a week or bi weekly would be enough.0 -
