Anyone ever try this cottage cheese creation?

cottage cheese, applesauce, cinnamon, and raisins

Anyone? What did you think of it? I decided to try it out during lunch next week and I can't imagine it.

I've tried something like it, it's good. Sprinkle a little apple pie spice in there too, and it will taste a lot like apple pie. I do the same with Greek yogurt too.

I was expecting everyone to tell me how gross it sounded. Yay!

Apple pie spice, huh? Wow, my mouth just filled with saliva.

Sounds delicious, definitely going to have to try it.

I have had cottage cheese, cinnamon and honey over a sandwich thin topped with frozen berries and baked, sort of comes out like a fruit covered danish.

Sounds good. I like cottage cheese with a little sugar free strawberry jello, a little light cool whip and strawberries!

I love cottage cheese with raisins and a bit of cinnamon! I don't like applesauce, so I don't know about that. Cottage cheese and blueberries is pretty tasty too!

haha, I guess I'm the only cringing at this. Hope you like it, but I definitely am not interested in trying! I'm super picky about putting things in cottage cheese.

I normally just eat cottage cheese plain or with some berries. But I might have to try this apple sauce and cinnamon idea, probably without the raisins though.

Urgh, I really don't like cottage cheese, would replace it with Greek yogurt, then it sounds delicious :D

    my mid morning snack is:

150g of cottage cheese and pineapple
    60g of smooth peanut butter
    4 ryvita crispbreads

put 15g of peanut butter onto a crispbread
the put 36-37g of cottage cheese and pineapple on top

its like PB&J but a bit more healthy

i do like the sound of adding raisins and cinnamon to cottage cheese, but the pineapple is the sweetener i enjoy

Wow, that sounds absolutely delicious. I think the best thing about cottage cheese is that it adapts well to either sweet or savory flavors.

I'll try this! ...with ricotta. I kind of like cottage cheese but I find it very salty and I don't like mixing it with sweet stuff. Maybe it's just the brand I buy.

That sounds delicious! I'm going to try it.

I also put cottage cheese on my salads instead of dressing.

Wow, I never even thought of that before. I'm not big on salads (Caesar salads with shrimp are alright), but cottage cheese actually sounds like it would be good on a salad. I usually get cottage cheese at the salad bar and no salad - drives my husband nuts. "Two bucks for a cup of cottage cheese and a package of crackers?!" Haha.

Just fresh crushed black pepper for me. I love the flavor when the edges of your cottage cheese mixes with your scrambled eggs. Now, I could just mix the two, but I don't -- that would be crazy.

I prefer to use cottage cheese as I would Greek yogurt ! Tons of protein and possibilities with it other than sprinkling with pepper and eating with a spoon. My fav thing is mixing peanut butter+stevia into it and then spreading it on a plain rice caked topped with cinnamon and sliced banana ! Filling protein snack. Sounds weird but the saltiness of cottage cheese isn't really there.
