    I saw this thread and it really brought up all my mixed emotions on this. I was just starting to get somewhere in my career when I got pregnant with child #2. With this baby, the cost of child care makes it pointless to go to work, one wasn't a big deal but paying childcare for 2, I may as well stay home. So, that is what we decided. My last day was May 22nd, I am now just a stay-at-home mom.
    ... And, still having really mixed emotions about it.

    I just realized that the topic line says "what does you do for a living". My apologies. I had started to write "What does everyone do for a living?" and decided to change it to "what do YOU do for a living" and forgot to delete the 'es"' at the end.

    Me too! I teach four levels of French at a local high school. But it's SUMMER now, woo!

    I'm in England. Our Summer holidays start on July 18th I think. I'm on maternity leave though, no work until March for me :smile: Well, looking after 3 kids is work actually....

    I have my Bachelor's and Master's in social work. After years of being a medical social worker I decided to do a 180. Now I work for corporate America in insurance. (Paradoxical if you ask me)
