    Personality 100% If someone is genuinely wonderful, chances are they will always be wonderful and attraction will be based on wanting to be with them. If they are beautiful but their personality is not appealing then they will not remain beautiful to you.

    When I look for a girlfriend, neither looks or personality are the more important factors. Since I am married, the most important attributes in a girlfriend are discretion and a relaxed moral attitude.

    my ex was beautiful, really gorgeous to me. My friend met him she said...hes fat,hes short and he needs a shave. But he was beautiful inside and out to me. just shows doesnt it!

    But you know what, a hot jerk always looks ugly to me... and a very kind, thoughtful, caring, intelligent, outgoing, happy, adventurous, go-getter type of young man, no matter what his facial features are, definitely makes me think that he's beautiful;P.... haha;)
    And you know what, if he's fit or trying to become fit, I know he knows how to commit, he has discipline, self control, he's active, and not afraid to move. Therefore, I believe that quite often when a guy has personality and looks, he's amazing;)
    Once again... arrogant, selfish (not egoist), and cocky guy does not equal handsome no matter what because something ruins him in my eyes....;P

    In most cases, looks are going to matter most at first, because if your interest is not sparked, then you will not bother to get to know the person's personality. I mean, I have never seen a woman walk into a room and thought to myself "Wow look at the personality on her!"

    Obviously there are exceptions to this - such as instances where you may get to know someone before seeing them (phone, email, etc.) And of course, if you are blind.
