    I don't actively seek new friends, as my friends list is pretty awesome already. However, if I see someone who has a profile pic or username that indicates they have similar interests as I do (usually not fitness related), or if a forum post or comment on a mutual friend's status make me laugh I will send a friend request. Run-on sentence FTW...

    I'm not actively seeking more friends. I'm okay with my list as it is, but if someone adds me and has a funny, I will accept as long as they don't seem like a nutter. On the flip side, if I feel I would get along well with someone and we have friends in common, I'll throw an occasional FR out there.

    I enjoy feedback on my posts to keep me feeling connected to MFP. I come back and share my joys and struggles if I feel that someone is listening. I don't have too many friends that I get that from, though.

    I like to have more friends for the usual reasons -- encouragement, motivation, humor, learning something new from someone. But I have to confess that I will sometimes want to add people for their funny MFP names. I wish I had come up with a better one, myself.
