    Know lot less than most of you but I'm shooting for 100.

    I got my bike back in October or so and rode for first time in 20 years then, rode until it got too cold and got it back out about a month ago. Then last Wednesday I went for speed and did right around 3 miles, next day I couldn't walk. Lol.

    Took my walmart 18 speed mountain bike into bike shop this last weekend and they tuned it up and looked it over for cheap. Was really nice and weren't hateful, so if I ever get the money they will be shop I'll go to and buy myself a real, fitted bike, got to work with what I have at the moment though.

    7/3 - 1.5 miles at 8.9mph.
    7/5 - 2.6 miles at 9.9mph.
    7/7 - 0.8 miles slowly.


    MTD = 4.9 miles.
    Goal = 30 miles.
    Still need = 25.1 miles.

    According to strava I went 11 miles tonight avg. Speed of 10.48 mph. So maybe I was wrong about 3 miles last week (first time user of strava.)

    I am trying to ride every day even if its only a little bit. Sometimes it seems if I do not ride for a couple of days, suddenly over a week has go by and I haven't been biking

    I saw this and I wanted to join this group. I love biking and I am trying to get more into it. I bike to work when I can, and run on my off days. My goal is 100 miles for July.

    July 1: 4.9 miles to work and 4.9 back. ( the back takes twice as long due to down hill to work, and up hill all the way home). 15 minutes vs 32 minutes.

    July 2: 4.9 miles to work and 4.9 back.

    July 3: 4.9 miles to work and 4.9 back.

    July 8: 4.9 miles to work and 4.9 back.

    My July goal is 200 miles which I will mostly be doing the last half of the month.

    There are many ways. Most of us that are really into biking have cyclometers on our bikes. Or you can bring your smart phone with you and run an app like strava (the one I use - there are many others) which tracks your distance and speed along with many other stats. Or you can just figure out how far your loop is (drive it with a car), time your ride with your watch and with a calculator figure out your average speed.

    Once again I'm in late. Goal this month is 600 miles, MTD as of yesterday is 199 miles. Saturday (12th) have a double century planned; STP with a group of friends and friends relatives. After that I plan to go back to -2 pounds a week goal plus serious training for the soon to be here CX season.

    Well I got my bike fixed....somewhat. I replaced the tube and threw on a half worn MTB tire and was all set but I have some slight rubbing from the caliper pads rubbing on the disc. I lessened it some but it's still there. I'll probably have to take it in which I hate to do but it's annoying.
