Didn't quite make my intended 400 miles last month, life got in the way. I am away for a week this month so I'm going to drop my goal to 350 and see how I go.

Another long cold day in the saddle. but I'm officially spent!! Rest day for tomorrow that's for sure
Met both of my goals of 800 miles and 50,000ft climbing. So with ten days still to go this month I'm going to push my targets out 1,100 miles and 65,000ft climbing :-)

We're all different. Five miles is really really good for me because I'm sick. The trick is to realize you're not competing here. You're getting encouragement. I'm not intimidated by the athletes. I just sit back and admire their abilities. My best month last year was 122 miles. And I should never push myself that hard again. I met my weight goal last year so that helps. I need to make sure I stay under 5 miles/ride for my own health reasons. But I sure love seeing all of the posts with big miles and big climbs.0 -

I just sit back and admire their abilities. My best month last year was 122 miles. And I should never push myself that hard again. I met my weight goal last year so that helps. I need to make sure I stay under 5 miles/ride for my own health reasons. But I sure love seeing all of the posts with big miles and big climbs.

Just agreeing with these folks. It isn't a competition. It's kinda like lifting "heavy". What's heavy for me may not be heavy for you and vice versa You are doing fantastic!0 -
