I added stir-fry veggies to the bean soup and rice. Also had half a serving of the low sugar Greek peachy vanilla frozen dessert with plain Greek yogurt and strawberries. After supper I made a new version of the Greek chocolate pudding, but it wasn't photo worthy. Very good, but not a beauty.

I made my "everything but the kitchen sink" soup. I mixed 1/2 cup of the pinto beans I made last weekend with some chopped Brussel sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms, tomato, green onion, 2 tbs cottage cheese, 1 ounce turkey, 1 tbs pepita seeds, and 1 tbs raisins until the veggies were cooked and topped it with a tbs of grated parm.

Quinoa and black bean casserole--quinoa, black beans, sautéed onions, red peppers and yellow peppers, cumin. Baked in the oven. Made one with cheese on top for the family, one with no cheese for me. Quite yummy. I've made another version of this that is good stuffed into peppers, rather than having the peppers cut up in the dish, but whatever.
    Watermelon on the side.

Looks great. I wish I hadn't frozen so much of my soup. After I had added the stir-fry and ate the soup tonight, I thought "CORN!" But I do have a couple of servings left. I'll doctor it up for lunch tomorrow.

  • With 777Gemma888's guidance, I'm giving this one last shot. I post food and bread pics on a lot of forums, and this is the ONLY one that will not accept the straight image syntax from Photobucket. Not sure if this forum is budget or state-of-the-art software, but it's a lot of work regardless. Here goes...

Breads I made for the 2014 Lake County (Ohio) fair.

    2qdpnib.jpg

    n5rfnl.jpg

French baguettes (Epi style) and Polish sourdough rye took First Place in their categories. Egg bread, Italian & Cuban breads took Second Places. 7-Grain honey whole wheat took a Third Place in the whole wheat category. Everything entered got a ribbon, so that's a big plus. I'll have to get more creative net year.

The rye sandwich thins (100 calories each) and the sausage buns were not submitted. I just made them for the freezer so we have them on hand. The buns were made using my egg bread recipe. We also use them for garlic bread when we have Italian meals. Me and the Mrs each have a half.

Breads look great. Congratulation on the ribbons. I had trouble posting to MFP from Photo Bucket too. Now I use Face Book for photo hosting, and no more problems.

I came into town and we went to Parramore's Too for supper. I had the grilled shrimp. fried okra, hush puppies, bread and butter pickles and a side salad. I lost almost 3 pounds in the last 4 days while trying to maintain, so I even ate the hush puppies. My first ones in months.

I grilled pork chops tonight. Since the grill was already hot, also had grilled shrimp, sweet potato and onion. There was also the peas I cooked yesterday, and cucumbers and tomatoes.

    10584072_793609324017526_6081568820497424241_n.jpg

I also made another stab at the Greek chocolate pudding yesterday. It is very good, but not as stiff as it should be. Need to cut back on the Cool Whip and yogurt, while keeping the Jell-O instant pudding the same.

My {3rd try at} Greek chocolate pudding. 1 package Jell-O sugar free instant pudding and pie filling, 73g Lite Cool Whip, 75g plain Greek yogurt, 75g Vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 1/2 cup 2% milk.

Made bread today to enter in the local county fair, so dinner of spaghetti, meatballs & homemade garlic bread was thrown together so we could get my entries to the fair before the deadline.

All baked today and delivered to the Lake County (Ohio) Fair tonight. I must have set the bar last year for breads, because there were more yeast breads entered this year, including some in a couple of my categories. The judging should be interesting, because some of the competition looks pretty good. I made 7-grain honey whole wheat, Polish sourdough rye, French baguettes (Black & white Epi style), Italian free form loaf, Egg bread, and Cuban bread (Pan Cubano). I had some dough left over and made rye sandwich thins, egg sausage rolls and small loaves of rye and 7-grain wheat. I was in the kitchen from 9 till 5 just dealing with bread, doing my best to make sure the appearance was the best I could do. We're going to the fair Tuesday night for the baked goods auction, rain or shine. Wish me luck!

Let's try this picture posting again....

Good luck. Hope you bring home the blue ribbon. When my Daddy was alive, he made bread a lot. I have his old bread maker, plus one my wife received for a birthday. If I made as much as you did, I would be back up to 240 before I knew it.

My babcia always made bread. She is still around but too old. Im sure she could make a loaf or two if she needed too, but, nowhere near the 7-8 loaves she made every week and a half with her hands. :) Yep no machine-my babcia was/is the machine:) her forearms were/are bigger than anyone i know! no bull

Went out tonight...and got Perogie Poutine with duck gravy.

    Heaven on a plate.

Eta: I re-sized it but it doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

Did I hear and see perigees? I hear my name being called haha. Polish woman here and I have my babcias perogi recipe. I am a MAJOR perigee SNOB. I say that with pride-my brother and I both do-our babcias are best hands down. I eat the filling on its own when it is being prepared its so frikken good. but calories yeah its no joke there. You might as well throw the week out the window lol. you can't make just one. when you make perogies, you make a whole big batch lol they are freezable but i mean why? :)
