    If that's so, then Alaska must be it's own continent. Because my homestate could be quartered and make Texas the 5th largest state ;)
    Maybe geographically... BUT
    Texas was it's own republic for a decade and had an established embassy in London during it's republic.
    As for now... the United Status is just Texas and 49 of it's b1tches!

    And for me: 1/2 Dutch 1/8 German... 3/8 mystery meat

    Yeah...Texas joined the United States because it couldn't defend itself against the Mexico and Native Americans. A major part of the Annexation agreement was that the US would take over border security.

    I think it's funny how every white person who claims Native American heritage says they're Cherokee. lol

    There were more intermarriages between the Cherokee and white settlers than any other tribe, so it's not that outlandish. And also, way back when, many families would claim native american heritage before admitting they had a black ancestor.
