Slayer, trivium (old drummer) static x, disturbed, korn.. just to name a few

Trivium's new drummer is not bad. He doesn't use triggers to help him be seamless. Their old drummer used them. That's why he "seemed" better. Being a drummer myself, I'd rather hear someone who's not 100% perfect. It tells me that they don't use added effects to enhance their style.

So happy to see Korn mentioned so much. I can never find korn heads IRL. They are my favorite. Also like Slayer, Messugah, Dimmu Borgir, Primus, Orgy, just a ton of ****.

The local music in my area is off the hook lately... check some of it out...

Has anyone mentioned Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad)?? He's definitely metal, but may be more in the progressive metal category. Definitely worth checking out though if you haven't heard his stuff.

I absolutely HATE avenged sevenfold. I'm kind of mad that they're headlining Mayhem this year. But I mean, at least I get to go, see some good bands, and leave early when they come on.
  • I am not going this year its so ****ty...

at least last few years they padded the bs with good bands like amon amarth and slayer and whatnot

this year has wretched body count and CC and thats it
