    September goals?

    Goal #1: Oktoberfest starts on my birthday this month, so I guess my goal this month is to stay ahead of the calorie count by turning the pedals enough to indulge...

    Goal #2: Get fewer flats this month.

    Goal #3: Season is winding down, so it's time to start working in some fun fall rides with no particular training goals.

    Luckily I built up a cushion earlier in the month, as this last week work prevented me from doing my normal weekday riding, such as it is, despite amazing biking weather. With tomorrow (more of a running day, but I'll probably use my bike for errands) plus Monday and perhaps Tuesday I will make it, and if the weather holds up will try to get to 250 miles.

    Need 54 more miles in the next 2 days to reach 450 - which should be doable if I can avoid another nasty spill. I'm still trying to figure out if my latest road rash from Friday turning black is a bad thing... better get some more neosporin to be safe.

    With roughly 150 running miles planned for next month, and my triathlon swimming mileage starting to fall behind due to a sore shoulder, I may drop down to 300 miles for next month's challenge so I can spend more time in the pool and pounding the pavement.

    I'm like 3 km / 2 miles away from my september goal, so I'll definitively go for a quick ride tonight.

    Then, for October, I'm kinda of not sure about how I will determine my goal, it will start to be cold around here and I won't use my bike as often as usual. What is your strategy, for those of you who will be in a cold fall weather like us in Montreal?
