Yes, I get mistaken for being in my 30's and I am 49 years old. I have always had a "baby" face. When I was 18 I looked like I was 12. I always attribute it to luck of genetics and staying away from those vices that tend to age a person.0

Nope. I'm pretty much old and I think I look my age. But I think I'm a healthy, good looking old. :drinker:0

Lol, I have always been accused of being younger than I am. Less so lately, but when I started dating my BF around 8 years ago his mom wondered if I was legal (took her about a month to ask him) I was like 25. I was carded for cigarettes until I quit smoking 3 years ago (30 years old) and about 3 months ago I went to a casino and was refused a drink because I couldn't find my ID, I'm 33.
It's so annoying sometimes, but I'm happy in the knowledge that when everyone else looks old, I'll always look younger.0 -
I always have, but I attribute that to genes and....melanin. Yes, I said it. It does preserve things, so to speak.
This has been my suspicion for years!0 -
I am 23 years old but when people who don't know me come up to me to talk I get it where people think I am anywhere from 13 years old to 18 years old. It was hard when I was younger when I was at my year 11 graduation when one of the parents of one of the year 11 student from another form class came up to me and asked why I was there because no children was aloud there so I said I was a year 11 student she didn't believe me until someone told her I was. She thought I was 10 years old I was nearly 16 years old at the time. Then when I was nearly 17 years old I went to my 14 year old sister parents evening and my sister's head of year throught that me and my sister were twins. It makes it hard for job interviews because you don't know if their believe that you are the age you say.0

Tell me about it!
I'm 20 and been working for the last 10 years but depending on the day of the week people seem to think i'm roughly 13-16 years of age!
Very embarrassing at times and can be very annoying! However will be positive when everyone else my age is old and wrinkly and i'm still looking young!0 -
As time goes on, you will appreciate it more.0

People often ask me what I am studying in University LOL and i have had people comment on my high level of intensity in cardio classes (usually higher than the instructor.. I go hard) and say the only reason I can do that is because I am in my 20s.......
i am 38 LOL0 -
I'm 21,I look thirteen or fourteen.. when I was 12 I looked 18 or 19! Go figure!0

It used to bug me, but now I'm nearing 40 I love it!! I get asked for ID all the time (need to be 18 in New Zealand to buy alcohol) and I must admit I love the look of shock in their faces when they figure out my age
Sometimes a thick skin is needed.......we had 4 kids in under 4 yrs (twins first helped!!) and I did hear the odd comment when out with all 4 kids......apparently it was a shame that someone so young had so many kids, tut tut...so young etc etc.....I was 30 when our twins were born, well past the "too young" stage!!! People will always find something to comment on!!

I had someone take a look at my wedding ring and ask how I was able to get married at 16... this was a year ago. I get carded everywhere. I can't even go to an R-rated movie without getting carded, which does not happen to my friends of similar ages. I'm 27. When my oldest son was an infant (he's 2 1/2), I was always asked if he was my little brother. On that same day, my wife got mistaken for my mother - she was 3 months younger than I. That story never gets old; I think of that look on her face every time I think of my wife.0

It's no big deal! I'm 31 and get mistaken for around 18 ALL THE TIME!! I get carded for everything, even if I'm not buying just with the person making the purchase. Just think how well you and the rest of us are going to age. Everyone will be jealous. I have yet to see my first laugh line or wrinkle, one of my friends who is 4 years younger is starting to get little lines in her face.0

Wait until you are my age and you will be begging for this to happen0

I can completely relate to this. I am 22 and I get told I look like I'm 13. It can get very frustrating sometimes, but over the years it'll become a good thing to look younger.0

I'm about to turn 50. EVERYTIME people discuss their children, and I say, "I have a daughter who is 32." I get the same response: "YOU have a 32 year old? You don't look 32 yourself!" It gets old, yeah. But I did finally stop getting carded in the last few years.0

I have freckles...freckles always make you look younger up until they start looking like age spots. I don't mind though. I don't see why your perceived ago should keep you from having friends. I work with a young man who is 18 but looks like he's 12-14 at most. When I first met him I thought he must be way to young to be working. He was pretty popular though. All the girls thought he was "adorable" because of his baby face.0

Every other day at my break in between classes in community college, it seems i'm the target of the comment "Hey sorry if this seems rude, you look too young"
Oh really?, yes it is!
And my only friend hasn't made my desperation any better, only worse. I'm considering going back to being the quiet one 24/7 even at home. Just to let you know, I haven't had a girlfriend since ever, nor an actual friend even longer
Stop closing yourself off and let others in?
Use online dating sites to make friends, I did that for awhile made a few female friends out of it...
Go to the gym (insert your hobby instead of the gym) everyday at the same time... over the years I have more gym friends than I do real friends these days.
Message me if you want I'll be your friend
Own your young looks and come up with something to say if you hear it all the time, "Yeah it sucks being so smart at such a young age" something witty and quick... say something stupid like "thanks but I'm actually 37" something to get a rise out of someone, make them laugh... and just carry the convo from there.0 -
I just turned 33. I live in a country where the drinking age is 18. I frequently get asked for ID. I know a lot of people find this flattering, I mostly find it annoying as its not really common here to carry ID.
I also get offered student discounts a lot, which I find less annoying!0 -
Once I was offered to get child fare by the busdriver when I was in the mid-30's. My last ex was 30...I was 42. It's flattering that people think I'm 10 yrs younger.
But I understand it can be annoying, especially for men before 40's.0 -
The older I get, the younger everyone else looks. I swear they let toddlers drive now!
