Happy Ground Hogs Day! Forgot to post my stats yesterday. Hey I saw my shaddow today and it looks thinner. That means 6 more months of losing fat and gaining muscle:laugh: V-day goal is in sight!!!

so i didn't track my food or exercise this last week and ate pretty much whatever i wanted trying to shake my body up. it didn't seem to work. lol. back to tracking and logging and hoping for some downward movement next week.
as a plus, my sister came down to try on wedding dresses this weekend and we found a bridesmaid dress that i thought i looked good in. it is in a size that i would be content to be in next october, although i'd like to be one size smaller.
i donated to our food bank this weekend to complete the challenge. anyone else do something?0 -

Mande G: Thanks so much for the reply and support! I am 5 4 however, and I think my ideal weight is still another 10-15 pounds away from where I am at now. Is this considered "close" to my ideal weight? Are the changes in strategy I need to start to keep loosing? Thanks again!!!
You might want to look around the boards for posts along the lines of "losing the last 10 lbs" or something to that effect. There will probably be some helpful information there! I'm definitely in a different position than you (about 40 lbs from goal weight) but it's my understanding that the last 5-10 is a struggle for most people, and it's a slower process (like only 1/2 a pound or 1/4 pound per week.) I believe the reason is the less fat you have to lose (10 lbs as opposed to 100 lbs, for example) your body is more reluctant to shed that weight. I don't have personal experience with this, however.

WOOOO! I can't even explain how happy I am lol. I skipped right over 145 into 144 zone. I guess my body finally decided to cooperate! Now if I can just drop .8 lbs this week I'll feel quite successful.0 -
I am officially going by my Wii Weight now...so of course now I am up AGAIN...I have worked out 3 times as much in the past week though...and it says I am down 1.3lbs since I started using it...so hopefully in 2 weeks I will be down at least to 140 again UGH... why does 6 lbs take so long to lose and only a day to put on!
