Is it too late to join?? I have my first two weights? But would love to set my goal at 15lbs from now... :-)

it's not too late to join! 15 might be too high, but 5-8 is definitely do-able! :)

Down .8 in the last 5 weeks... I am getting *so* frustrated. If I only had a few pounds to go (or even 20 or 30 pounds) this would be okay. But with at least 80 pounds to go I am feeling like I am never going to get to my goal weight or even anywhere near it!

i know it's frustrating but you'll get there! you are doing great!

Ok.. So this is my first post.. I started MFP on the 1st.. so here is my info.. (I messed up and weighed today.. So I will re-weigh on Wednesday!!) :)

    start weight: 195
    1/1 - 195
    1/9 - 187.8 (-7.2)
    1/14 - 183.8 (-4.0)

I'm really not sure when I should weigh.. When it's my nights to work.. I generally eat for almost 24 hours.. (I only take a few hour nap during the day before heading back to work).. So we will see how this goes!

So excited to I found MFP.. and looking forward to watching everyone meet their goals!!!!!!
  • ^ I like!!

Will be doing my "virtual shopping" sometime this weekend. I already have a real target outfit though - bought a dress one size too small (it was such a great deal). The zipper only goes up half way... it looks great but it doesn't zip up! We'll see how it goes!

Weight is still on track this morning! yay!

OMG WOW!!! :noway: You lost more than 11 pounds in 2 weeks? I mean, good for you, but is that okay for you? Are you doing this the right way? (Hope you're not offended by my questions - just really hope this weight loss sticks and they say more than 2 lbs a week is iffy in that regard!) All the best and keep up the success! :flowerforyou:

Yea.. It's been crazy.. I think a lot of it has to do with better eating habits.. Healthier food choices.. And the fact I'm still breastfeeding.. I haven't reached my calorie goal yet.. But it's not that I'm trying to eat that few... And yesterday was a bad eating day for me.. But I need to go shopping.. I haven't gone grocery shopping since this lifestyle change.. So I've been trying to manage with what I've had on hand. In other words, I'm trying to do it the right way!!!
  • Oh you're breastfeeding! Have you noted that in your MFP goals? I'm not 100% sure but I think you're supposed to eat even more! Apparantly breastfeeding will burn mega calories and allow fast weight loss! (good for you! hee hee)

Congrats on your baby! I'm "pre-heating my oven" for a 2011 conception myself fingers crossed!

Good luck with the grocery shopping! Protein and fibre! Get good dense bread and healthy meats and just pile up a big 'ol sandwich for a quick meal that can be about 500 calories if you make it right! (12 grain bread can be about 150 cals per slice alone depending on the brand!)
  • I know I am late to the challenge, but I would like to join anyway. My current weight is 209. I believe I can lose 5 pounds in 30 days, but maybe I can lose even more! I will try for 10!

Um, hi! December kinda got away from me... :grumble: But I am STILL IN THIS. Even if there is only a month left in this challenge.

I've spent the last two weeks getting my diet back in order (too much holiday chocolate -- I didn't GAIN, thankfully, but I still ate more sugar than I should have) and getting back into a fitness routine. Now that those are in order, I can start paying more attention to the # on the scale. So, here goes.

    Starting weight: 171
    12/15 - n/a
    12/22 - n/a
    12/29 - n/a
    01/05 - n/a
    01/12 - 170
    01/19 -
    01/26 -
    02/02 -
    02/09 -
    02/16 -
    Goal weight: 165

I've found some new motivation that I think will help keep me more accountable and on track than I've been the past six months -- on Feb. 14th the hubby and I go in for our first preconception appointment! We're not TTC YET, and won't be starting until I get AT LEAST another 20 lbs off, but it's a HUGE motivator for me to get healthy so we can get to the TTC stage.

I didnt do window shopping online this weekend but I did go to the mall. I was able to get in a size 14 skinny jeans-they were stretch but hey I was able to get them on (biggest size pants 18-20) & I fit a size Large Shirt (Biggest size 1x-2x)

Ok, so I was able to try the Wii Zumba game today and I think Im going to love it! It's cool trying to learn the dance steps. I know some of them from the Zumba classes I have taken but some Im just lost. Another bonus is that I burned 652 cals in 68 mins! Thats pretty good for a game. Soooo, in my book, Zumba is a winner! Have a Great Weekend Everyone!

I add the calories in from BFing.. 300 a day. I made a super yummy wrap today.. So finally had a big chunk of calories gone.. Now only 900 more until midnight (I work tonight) so hopefully I can eat close to 900 more before then!!
  • Good for you! (I love wraps!!)

Ok so I did my window shopping, except it's for my 1 year anniversary instead of Valentine's day. My anniversary is on Feb. 6th so we'll probably go out then, and I was thinking I'd cook him a special dinner for Valentine's day and we'd stay home. So anyways, I LOVE this dress. If not this, something similar to it (and ONLY if I reach my goal). Even when I was in good shape, I never would have tried to wear this so...hoping to shock the crap out of my wonderful husband! :blushing:

As far as a goal outfit... I'll be shopping tomorrow! Maybe I'll find a deal on something I love in a size 6.
I'd like to at least find a cute new workout outfit. Soccer starts soon and I haven't replaced my workout pants since I started in July, 30# ago!
