1. Subtract 8 lbs for your uterus lol 2. Step on a scale and read it, then have someone hold them up for you. Then sub5fact that weight from your original and Bam! Boob weight.

Well from what I've read you've got a few offers lol, otherwise Idk how else you could find out!
• Did some quick research and found an article on the physics of bras. It said a d-cup ranged from 15-23 pounds and compared it to two small turkeys!

OMG.....so what does that put my 44G at.....30+ pounds each? i hope i lose some of them because i HATE them being this big
• Yeah well try a chest that doesn't get any smaller when you lose weight. Everyone tells me Oh you'll lose it when... Twits. I didn't lose it in Bootcamp and I was a size 8. :grumble:

The only good that ever came from a DDD chest was it confused the daylights out the guys running PT in boot camp. They couldn't figure out what was legal for my pushups. I got off so easy when it came to those things...

I do know the one other girl in the unit who had the same thing said she weighed in 10 pounds over weight and the first thing her recuriter said was "I know where that 10 pounds is."

In my next lifetime I am going to be a guy. :ohwell:

Wait a minute? Two turkeys? No wonder my back hurts.
• Not a good conversation going on here. Who really cares, obvioulsy you are not here to share about healthy eating and weight. I think you have another agenda. There are other chat rooms for this sort of stuff.

And this is the post you decide to be your debut into the MFP community. *kitten*.
I concur. What a fahreak.

I third you, boys.
To the poster that decided to speak on behalf of the entire community, stuff it would you? We're all grown ups who like to weigh our boobs. Are you going to try to say you've never used a ruler, measuring tape, soda can or other equivalent to check out your own junk? I'm more offended that you tried to chastise the OP and make us all feel like dirty pervs and my breasts aren't even 'try to see how much they weigh' worthy!
I'm a C and I don't think it would be that fun to try to find out how much the girls weigh.

This is your first post on here? really?

Judging by the number of people who agree that they, too, have wondered about this, obviously someone cares. If you don't like it, go find another thread to troll on.

AwEsome topic! Well, I must say I'm a 38 DDD, I've lost 11 pounds so far and I'm pretty sure the majority of it has been from the girls!

This doesn't sound right to me at all.. i'm a 34D and i don't think they could possibly weigh more than 5 pounds!

Okay meant to reply to another answer but apparently didn't do it right! However my reply would have been:

Yeah this would be my answer...I think mine would be luckily to hit 1 or 2 lbs together!

People are different, some lose it there first, some don't. I believe that they will go down, just like you'll lose weight everywhere else. I sure hope so.
Some people lose it there first, others lose it last. It should go down somewhat, though by how much is going to vary by person.
After a little over 50 pounds lost, mine have gone up a cup size but down in actual measurements (I've lost more around my rib cage than on my actual chest, so the band size went down and the cup size went up). I'm hoping to go down to a size where I can at least buy bras in normal stores by the time I'm done.
I use to work at Victoria's Secret and was a "Bra fitting specialist" - just to help you understand why your cup size went up and your band size - Bras have "sister sizes" for instance a 36D and a 34DD are sister sizes, the cup is usually about the same size, but the band is smaller... similarily a 34C and a 36B are sister sizes. If you can't find your size in a store, sometimes you can try the sister size, go up a band size and down a cup size.

I am currently a 38DD, and I have definitly wondered this in the past. I even went as far as trying to measure them on a scale in highschool during my physics class, it helped that a friend of mine dared me to, but I've always been curious. Unfortunately the scale wouldn't register, and my teacher caught me and told ALL the teachers about it... oh well.

This is DEFINITLY a legitimate conversation...

Thanks for posting!

I agree with you! 5lbs sounds more accurate. There's no way 15-23 of my lbs are from my boobs. I'd say more like 5-6/boob.
• damn, ill trade you my 40G for your Fs :) my husband is all bummed cause he claims ill lose my boobs when i lose weight...yeah, i dont feel bad for him LOL

Only a person who has had large breasts all of their adult life would understand this question. I don't have the answer but in reading the replies here I have a gotten a good estimate.

I can feel your love/pain with this issue since I have carried around at least a D cup most of my life. Being "top heavy" is not pleasant., You have back and shoulder pain. You tend to have rashes. You have a horrible time finding clothes to fit, not to mention the price you have to pay for a good support bra.

Even with gastric bypass surgery I have only lost from a 52D to a 42C and I am still not proportioned. Because of the "rashes" and excess skin I qualify for a breast reduction and I am seriously considering it so that it might be possible for me to look "normal" one day.

If you truly want the answer I suggest you ask your doctor or possibly look the information up on line.

I have always wondered this myself. I am currently a 40G. At my smallest about 140 pounds size 8, I was a 36 DDD. I do wonder how much of my weight is contributed to my chest. I have even had friends say to me that I appear heavier than I am because my chest is so large and it is frustrating that I have to buy clothes several sizes larger than the rest of my body so that my chest can fit in them.

I completely understand why you made this post.

I have wondered this many times myself! The largest I ever was..38H when I was pregnant. Now about a 36F. Before children and after my first I was a 34D and I thought that was big at the time..HA! I can only hope that losing a few lbs. (20 lbs) and some more exercise and they will decrease to something a bit more reasonable. I have stiff shoulders all the time, severe lower back pain and the permanent indentations on my shoulders thanks to the expensive space age material bras that are needed to hold these darn things!! UGH! I would be all for a reduction if that don't go down on their own after losing some weight. Luckily my husband is well aware of how painful this is for me, not to mention the dreaded SWIMSUIT SHOPPING..OMG that's a nightmare! I swear they make swimsuits to fit a 34B no matter if the suit is a size 6 or a size 18!

This is funny, I've wondered that myself, The weight of a turkey sounds crazy but funny.
How can you lose inches in your ribs size(band) but gain in cup. I want to lose both, can't afford to get a larger cup size, the girls are big enough.

The cup size is in relation to the band size so a 34B and a 36A can have the same bust measurement. I wear 36A/34B depending on the brand  so I don't really have a boob weight problem ^u^v

Though in Taiwan sizes, I am a 75D/80C haha  but the cup increments are much smaller than in America!
• Holy smacks! I thought my 36 DDD were huge but that sounds so small compared to G, H, and J!

Here is the info on the article I had found. Couldn't copy/paste it in here last night because I was on my phone. It is called "The Physics of Bras: Overcoming Newton's second law with better bra technology" from Discover Magazine in 2005.
http://discovermagazine.com/2005/nov/physics-of-bras

"One side effect of the obesity epidemic in America is rarely noted: Women's chests are expanding nearly as fast as their bellies. Poor eating habits, as well as breast implants and the estrogens in birth-control pills, have led to an increase in the past 15 years of more than one bra size for the average American woman—from a 34B to a 36C. For many women, this has been a burdensome trend. A pair of D-cup breasts weighs between 15 and 23 pounds—the equivalent of carrying around two small turkeys. The larger the breasts, the more they move and the greater the discomfort. In one study, 56 percent of women suffered from breast pain when jogging."

According to Women Health, women lose one cup size every ten to fifteen pounds they lose. - not exactly the answer but closer to what you can guess.

Not entirely accurate... I've lost 55 pounds and gone from a 44F to a 38G.
