Hi you all.
Browsing to all the different diarys I cant believe what people are eating.
I am no angel and i dont always do it right. But is see people here who only list processed food and feel like they did allright.
There are hardly any vegtables, fruit and whole wheat stuff.
What do you eat for breakfast?

I eat the same everyday.
1/2 cup oatmeal (rolled oats)
7 eggs whites.1 -
Cereal - All Bran or similar. Sometimes I'll have toast if I'm feeling a little naughty.1

Either oatmeal or cereal (grape nuts or raisin bran or shredded wheat types). I tried Almond milk, but really prefer the real stuff.0

Shakeology. I usually add some fresh fruit or some natural peanut butter. Recently I'm on a flax seed kick and toss them in there as well.1

I have porridge made with water, salt. When its ready I add a little milk and a dessert spoon of maple syrup, Yummy.0

Dorset Cereals muesli (the one with berries and cherries) and Activia pouring yoghurt...yum yum!0

current fav breakfast is quick oats, frozen unsweetened berries and half a tablespoon of honey, its awesome. I also really like having egglands best eggs scrambled or hard boiled or some kind of nut butter and a banana or shredded wheat and skim milk0

I'm addicted to no added sugar alpen museli with fresh blueberrys!! i also love shredded wheat bitesize with fresh fruit like bananas, or blueberrys!! i hate sugary cereals, i think they are too morish and not satisfying!!0

M-F: rice milk, almond milk, fish oil, fiber powder, Trader Joe's red Antioxidant powder, blueberries, protein/vitamin shake.
Weekends: something eggy/bacony but usually calorically reasonable (except for this weekend!)0 -
i mix it up, but mainly during the week i have cereal or oatmeal. sometimes ill scramble an egg and have a piece of whole wheat toast, with it, and yup i use strawberry jam, and not the non sugar kind either. or sometimes ill have an omelette with red,yellow and bell pepers in it. just depends. or if im in a hurry ill grab a banana and run out the door0

Usually a protein shake made with milk and frozen fruit, or old fashioned oats with honey, apple, cinnamon, or eggs/egg whites0

Normally I have weet-bix with banana, or blueberries and yoghurt. But I made Dahl the other day, so I heated up some of that for breakfast! It was pretty good!!0

During the week when I workout I drink a Muscle Milk Light shake..and over weekend I eat egg white sandwich with round roll or wheat bread...this weekend had the taste for pancakes so I added protein powder to it and had 3 small one's with turkey breakfast sausage..1

I almost everyday eat the same: 1.5 cup of fat free milk with a whole-grain bread with two slices of turkey ham; right now I'm replacing the bread and ham with a Leclerc Dark Chocolate muffin, just for varying a bit0

I almost always eat either (1) oatmeal with fruit and a glass of milk, (2) scrambled eggs (sometimes whole, sometimes just the whites) with spinach and other veggies, (3) a Greek yogurt with cheerios and fruit mixed in, or (4) a bowl of cheerios with fruit.
I do eat my oatmeal and whole wheat blueberry pancakes on the weekends, though. Yum!

I've been eating Uncle Sam original cereal with blueberries (preferably fresh but will settle for frozen) and soy or skim milk for over 2 years now. I buy the cereal by the case!! Love the flaxseed.0

Greek yogurt with 1/2 C Kashi GoLean mixed in & a serving of fruit; 1/2 C oatmeal with 6 egg whites cooked in & 1/2 C frozen blueberries added; 6 egg whites scrambled with veggies wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla with salsa.
Good ideas from everyone else! I'm always looking for new things to try.1 -
depends on my mood-
today greek yogurt with honey and blueberry granola with flax seed and a banana
Sometimes an egg white omelet with spinach and bacon low fat part skim mozarella
Sometimes migas or a breakfast burrito with corn tortillas, black beans, peppers eggwhites and salsa
Sometimes oatmeal (LOVE LOVE Lavish dark chocolate oatmeal with strawberries)
Sometimes a smoothie
But always something and usually high in protien and fiber to get me going for the day

Breakfast varies for me...yesterday I made a mushroom omelet with just a sprinkle of italian cheeses on top...sometimes I do mushroom and spinach or just spinach. I will usually have a piece of dry whole wheat toast with this. This morning I had whole wheat toast with a tbsp of hazelnut spread, half a pear (because the kids came picking at my plate lol) and my usual cup of coffee with 2 tbsp of creamer. Most mornings its cereal...usually whole grain or granola style but once in a while I treat myself to something like Honey Bunches of Oats which is neither bad nor great for you (vitamins yes, fiber and whole grains not so much lol).0

My favorite breakfast is 1 thin slice of canadian bacon and 2 egg whites on a light high-fiber multi-grain english muffin. I have 8 oz. of V8 Fusion (pomagranate/blueberry) to go along with it. Yum!
I know what you mean about seeing other people's food diarys. I am shocked that alot of that stuff is working for them! I'm so envious when I see people log cheese! (CHEESE??? You eat CHEESE???) But then, losing weight and staying in shape after 40 is a whole different ball game. It's funny how our bodies and metabolism are uniquely our own. I keep odd hours and will sometimes have my breakfast at night.2 -
I have this most morning for breakfast, and I love that it keeps me full for hours. Plus it only takes about 10 minutes to make, start to finish.
2-3 slices onion
1-1/2 cup mushrooms
2-3 slices tomatoes, diced
2 cup fresh spinach
1/2 cup egg substitute
pepper
sea salt
red pepper flakes
lite sour cream
Cook onion & mushrooms until softened, then add spices, and spinach. Remove veggies from pan. Scramble egg substitute. Top egg with cooked veggies, tomatoes and sour cream.
I also have a cup of coffee with SF creamer & 1 tsp sugar. All for about 270 calories, 7g fat, 33 carbs, 11 protein.2 -

I have never been a breakfast eater. I usually have a cup of coffee and usually nothing else until 10 or 11. I get up at 7. Sometimes, I'll even workout on an empty stomach, except for a few cups of coffee.
Since starting this program, about two weeks ago, I've overcome the not eating breakfast by having a mocha protein shake, made with milk. This replaces my coffee and has an excellent coffee taste. I'm able to drink a cup within 1/2 hour of waking, which I've always done with coffee. I love that. The only habitual change is whipping it up every morning instead of walking to the coffee pot! The best part is, I'm adding 30 grams of protein by combining my Click protein mix with fat free milk. Now some people may think this is not healthy, but trust me, a protein drink full of vitamins and minerals is way better than a cup of coffee.
I've lost 5 pounds in this two time frame. Not sure if this was from this one simple change or what, but I'm liking it! Oh and forgot, I did use an ice pack on my neck last night for two 30 min periods- and hour apart. Supposed to burn fat like mad. Overnite I lost 1.8 pounds.0 -
Generally it is:
1 egg
2 egg whites
piece of ham (not clean eating)
Mission Corn Tortilla
I will sometimes add in Cilantro or Jalapenos or tomatoes or fresh spinach.
My other breakfast is:
1/2 cup Quaker Old Fashion Oats with less than 1 cup water and a dash of salt.
I eat with 1 tsp of honey and 1 tsp of Best Life Butter. Sometimes I will use Splenda instead of honey. But the Splenda is not a clean food.1 -

I vary the muesli and the flavor yogurt from week to week. MY favorite yogurt at the moment is toffee.0 -
Usually I eat an Ezekiel Bread 4:9 Sprouted Grain English Muffin with a scrambled egg, give or take one slice of provolone cheese. At least that's what I've been eating lately. I'm about to start eating some oatmeal every once in a while.0

I don't like a proper breakfast, so I've started having my usual coffee, but with sweetener instead, and then about half an hour later a Muller Llight yogurt, and then a couple of hours later I have something more filling.
As from tomorrow that will be beans, veggie bacon or sausage grilled, or beans with toast to up my protein.
Some people may not be entirely 'good' or up to the standards of other members, but maybe they're newer. Like myself.0
