Wow, what a weekend! We got the news that my inlaws were moving on Friday and they needed to be out by Monday. So we spent all day Saturday boxing and loading and moved them an hour and a half to my hometown. Then my husband, sister in law and I spent the morning Sunday unloading everything into the new house. Wow!!! I looked up the calorie burn for moving and carrying boxes - (ready for it???) - 722 cals an hour . Whoa! So I am not too sure the cal burn for the weekend, but I think I like it!!! Makes me feel super motivated for the week. Hopefully it keeps up!
Oh, and before they showed up on Saturday I did the 30 Day Shred. I was just wanting to get an idea about what to expect when we start the challange on Tuesday. I only got 1/3 through it before they showed up -they got to my house sooner than I expected, but my goodness I was Jello Muscles by the time the day was over and today was sore! It was my first shred ever....I think I love/hate it!!!
Have a great week ya'll, looking forward to the challanges!0 -
I'd love to join this! I've done a few days of Level 1, but had to return it to the library and my copy won't be here for a few days. So, if it's okay, I'll sub in another workout and then catch up when my DVD arrives!0

Everyone who is pumped to start Tuesday be sure to add me so we can all keep each other accountable!! Whoo! So ready!0

I'm going to do my first day today -- it's going to be 60 degrees here tomorrow so I will DEFINITELY want to workout outside!
I got 5 lb weights at Target yesterday, so I'm all set!
Fingers crossed for me!

Ok I watched it for the first time today so I am prepared, at least as much as I can be. Does watching it count as an exercise?!? I kept sucking in my abs! LOL! I am not sure how my knees will do with the jumping but I will fight through it unless I absolutely cannot! Can't wait!0

Good luck, everyone! You can do it! Keep pushing..I tried it before actually 1&2 for a bit (before) and can to modified & advanced..so we will see! I'm not weighing in during the month of March, taking measurements instead. Hope i can be suprised! *fingers crossed*0

It is a Jillian Michael's DVD (from the Biggest Loser). There are three 20-min workouts on the DVD. You work up from Phase 1, to two then three. Evidently you can lose up to 20lbs in 30days - per the cover. I bought the dvd at Walmart for under $10.
People have mixed feelings about the dvd. I am eager to start to see what it's all about. A little scared, but I am sure I can do it.
We are starting the dvd tomorrow 3/1/11 and doing it for 30 days. Several of us here have added eachother in order to be accountable to eachother. ADD us as your friends if you decide to start tomorrow. We will encourage you!0 -
I'm starting March 1st and would love to vent LOL!0
-
May I join you all as well? I am starting this tomorrow and would love to have some exercise buddies, please add me!0
-
Good luck everyone!! With each others help and support I know we can do this!!
I am wondering how heavy of weights everyone is using? I started with 5lb but think I need to get 3lb weights, my arms are so sore!!0 -
Bout to go do my first shred, yikes!0
-
OK, I just bought the DVD at Walmart. So, I'm in!
I think I'll have to skip Thursdays, though. I already go to a powerpump class and a zumba class right afterward, so I don't want to keel over and die every Thursday!!
Feel free to add me as a friend anyone!0 -
Yay March is here!!
I just finished my Day 9 of Level1, but I am starting over, this time using 5# weights and also trying the harder versions.
We can all do this! I find the repetition is almost relaxing, and I really now look forward to it every day. Today was a hard day for me, I spent a lot of it with a friend who is going through a really tough time, and the rest of it running around. I almost skipped it but instead had a great workout. That is the point after all - push yourself and see the results.0 -
I am in. I have had the DVD for a little bit now and did a few days but this should be a way to keep motivated.0

Count me in. I will start today.0

ready for it then? Me and Niki had a "warm up" go on Sunday and all I can say is ........... ouch!! I only lasted 17 mins - Niki managed 2 sets of 20 mins (different times of day) and shes still sore today!! Looking forward to tonight though, have to make sure I stick to all 30 mins!0

I am starting the 30 day shred as soon as it arrives I am also banning wine, chocolate and take aways for the full 30 days.0

I started with 5 lbs today - it was too much! This workout is going to kick my butt!0
-
I started today with 3lbs weights. I'm going to mixed the weights up between 3 & 5lbs because in some parts the 3lbs were too lite. Stats are in my signature.
I did good with everything except the 2nd set of pushups. I'm doing the modified ones and I was struggling after the 3rd one in the 2nd set. All the other exercises I did without modification.0 -
i did the Shred today with 5lb weights. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE lol. Soooo difficult.0

I will join... I have the video and haven't stuck with it... I have to find it... send a request if you'd like... I will try and do this every other night...0

So excited! I started the 30 day shred today. I did it with 5 pounds dumbells, because I don't have any lighter. I haven't had the patience for excercise videos lately, so I was glad when she said the segments were 20 minutes long. The first part was almost 30! But I stuck through it, and I will continue to try.
I am going to check her diet plan online. I am wondering if Jillian has an excercise schedule she suggests, or do we have to this every day this month?0 -
