Good to see people joining. I haven't checked in all weekend, so thanks for those of you who have been checking in on the thread and answering questions. :)

I think I'm going to go with time this month. 1 Hour everyday. Going to try and get my walk in now.

Came home tonight and found I needed about 1500 more steps before midnight. Got them in and went a little over for good measure.

I wasn't able to walk last night as I had a late meeting that lasted until 11PM; however, I did my first c25k training this morning... I did it for 20 minutes and forgot to look how far I got... I will look at the treadmill when I get home and update my ticker.

I forgot to post yesterday but I only managed the walk to work and back, which is 1 mile altogether! Today I'm going to walk 5 milies with Leslie Sansone. I've already completed a mile, doing the walking bus we use at work, to encourage the kids to walk to school rather than be ferried in by their parents!!

    So I've updated my ticker!

Walked the mall today. It's such a little bit but it made me feel SO good. So much so that I took the steps one flight instead of the elevator... lol... won't be doing that again anytime soon. Doctor said if I'm in so much pain to not do steps - but I had to just see... Maybe if I do the mall once a day and do steps for one flight a day I can eventually work up to "normal."

That's awesome. Definitely don't get hurt (that's not fun at all), but getting in a little bit is better than none. :)

I just wanted to post these links again for the new comers :) Each one of these links is a mile walk. (or 12 min). With a total of 5 miles. So if you aren't able to make it outside, or don't have much time (12 minutes isn't asking a lot lol) then check them out to get in a quick walk.

I totally bombed day ONE.... I was all pumped up and ready to go, and then my husband called me to the couch to cuddle and watch TV like a siren! So....I didn't get my walk in yesterday. He did however promise to walk with me tonight AND make up for yesterday.....so we'll see how that goes....I don't even know if I can handle 2 hours of walking. I think I'm going to save him (and myself from his whining) and do an hour this morning, and then an hour after dinner.

Wow these are great - have never seen them. I'd found some of Leslies walks on the below link too - and they let you choose 1 mile 2 miles or 3 miles - without interruption. I made good use of them during the winter when snowed in.

Husbands! Enjoy your walk! My hubby hasn't been willing to walk with me since we were little newleyweds.:ohwell: He exercises at the gym at work and thinks walking with his wife would be a waste of time. Of course, I don't know how enjoyable our walk would be with our 4 kids tagging along.

Checking in on Day 2... I managed 5mi on the treadmill at various speeds (all walking) and then added 2.5mi on the elliptical. I normally don't get to exercise 7 days a week so if I'm ahead early, I wont feel like I have to catch up later. :)
