Happy Monday Everyone!
So we lost a few more members, but that is par for the course in these challenges, however I expect a few of them will come back and post late, but as of right now, the 67 members that weighed in this week, we lost a collective total of.....
72 Pounds!!!
Making it a total of 167lbs. for the challenge so far!
Awesome people! Now remember that we only have two more weigh ins! And it's like 10 days until St. Patty's Day! Even if you don't think you can make it to your goal by then, don't give up, try to get as close as you can. When you have those set back days, drink extra water! Add a little lime juice, there's something about it that helps you burn more calories, I don't know if that's true but it's helped me so maybe it'll help you too! Can't hurt to try!
Also, just throwing this out there...Anyone interested in an Easter Challenge? These mini goals really seem to keep me on track and hopefully they do the same for others and I'm loving keeping up with everyone's progress! I'll probably start a thread for the Easter Challenge next week and post the link here, so check back if you're interested!

Hey guys, I wanted to share this blog I just read, it kinda touches on what I was talking about after our Week 1 weigh in. I don't want anyone to think I'm coming down on them for not losing, I'm not sure what the happy medium between sugar coating it and drill instructor is, so I'm gonna let someone else be the bully and give it to ya straight! Again take it with the spirit in which it's intended and be awesome!

Heidi That was so motivating. Basically it says stop making excuse after excuse, that we all need to take blame for ourselves not point the finger at something else. I find this motivating. Thank you for sharing. :flowerforyou:
My favorite was the "Hulk Smash" line!
But I feel it's true, we're all gonna "fall off the wagon" as long as we don't wallow in that and whine about how hard this is, as long as we wipe the cheese dust off our fingers from the half a bag of Nacho Bugles we ate last night :blushing: and say well that wasn't really worth it, drink some water and recommit, learn from the mistakes, we'll be ok.
Reprogramming why we need to eat and what we eat to lose weight/ or maintain weight, learning how to burn more calories than we consume is a process. Making the right choices is something that takes practice, and when you practice something enough it'll become a habit. You didn't learn bad eating habits overnight so don't get frustrated when you don't get it right the first time.
This is why I love these mini challenges, week after week we are practicing to be healthier, better versions of ourselves. And when you don't have a good week/day/hour/minute don't make excuses, just stop it and do better!0 -

Yesterday I bought a Moon Pie, I know, I took two bites and realized that I was setting myself up for subatoge (sp?). I then threw it away, although I hate to waste food, it just wasn't worth it (plus it didn't taste good).
What surprised me was that I was walking down the candy isle and didn't want any of it, which normally I would be grabbing things. I was just looking at and my DH said I was telling the candy that You don't control me anymore, I am taking charge of my life now. I didn't even realize I was doing that, which means I am making progress (although my weight is stuck, due to myself) but progress is still progress.
Mini challenges/goals are what is helping me keep track of myself. Yes well all have those moments of the not so good choice, and we need to stop making excuses (no matter what they are) and take full responsibility for it.

Alright ya'll, I am giving up Facebook and these forums for Lent so I am dropping out of my challenges. I have kind of lost my way and need to recommit to the way I know I can lose weight. I'm reading all these posts and trying everything and it's messing me up. Plus, I spend WAAAAYYYY too much time hanging on the computer reading the posts here and playing stupid Facebook games. So, I'm outa here. Good luck, you all are amazing and are making tremendous progress. I can't wait to check in after Easter and see how you guys all do!0
