Yeah, I'm not fond of the Level 1 or 2 drills. I'm sure there probably level infinity drills in month 2 though just because we don't like them!!

Was today's workout any easier than yesterday? Less cussing?

In the 2nd month you move up to Level 3 drills  It is soooo much fun!

Great job all! My post will be short today because I don't want to lose too much steam with my crabby 'tude this morning! Plus I have a super busy work day. :grumble:

The scale is up 3 lbs and although I know all the plausible reasons why...I'm still bummed about it. I appreciate jabdye's response on my wall...I needed a little pick me up. Sometimes even when we know all the reasons, the answers don't fit what we want to have happen. I up'd my calories a few days ago and I'm still playing around with making good choices with those extra calories. So there's lots of reasons for the fluctuation I'm sure. I still feel to great physically to think that Insanity isn't the right choice. I'm still in LOVE with it and Shaun T. It's the best love/hate relationship ever!!

I hope everyone's Tuesday is wonderful!! And that every DIGS DEEPER today! Tomorrow is my rest day and I need it. Going to use it as a chance to get my mind back to a better outlook and keep pushing through.

Damn scale is evil! :( Once you get the calories figured out it will start moving down again. I am glad to see you are staying positive and continuing to let Shaun T. be the devil (albeit a cute one) :)

Did the Plyo Cardio Circuit... That workout was awesome... Kicked my butt, and I'm sore in muscles I forgot I had... Picked up a heart rate monitor and I burned 700 calories... That was great... My mucscles were burning a few times and I had to stop, but I actually thought I'd have to stop more. Looking forward to tomorrow's workout...

Thanks everybody for the kind words yesterday.... After I was was finished, even as tired as I was, I still had a smile on my face because I did it!!! 58 more days to go....

Way to go Ed! Keep digging deeper! :)

Just want to explain a little about the push-ups before you all think I am super woman! LOL! You do several forms of push-ups i.e. V push-ups, full body push-ups, power push-ups, side push-ups (these totally suck *kitten* by the way) etc. in the different circuits so it's not just regular old push-ups. I don't think I could do 249 regular push-ups. I'd die! LOL!
Ah, okay. I gotcha!!! Thanks for explaining.

We are on vacation in Orlando this week, and I did my Insanity workout today! Pure Cardio. I brought my laptop and a couple Insanity dvd's so I could keep at it at least a little bit on our vacation. I laugh because I can only imagine what people would have thought if they heard the noises coming from our room - lots of jumping and gasping sounds. My husband said he will probably get some not-deserved high fives today.

Did the high fives come through? Too funny !! Now that's dedication girl! Way to go!

lol Don't think he got the high fives, but I did another workout yesterday and Housekeeping was right out in the hall while I was doing it. I did get some strange looks when I left the room.

Day 18/63 - Recovery and Cardio Abs. So glad to have a recovery day. I needed it really badly!

Toni - I was at this crazy huge flea market in Canton, Texas on Sunday. Oh my dogs were barking by the end of that day!

mamareese - sorry to hear about your scale issues. Since I am working on tweeking my diet and have added more calories as well, I can concerned what I will see on Friday morning (weigh day). We just have to keep pushing through. When the scale fights you, all you can do is fight back.

Cee - Plyo CC is also my highest burn as well, must be the combo of exercises

KCmom - Oh the humanity!!! Just when I feel like I am getting a handle on the push ups in Phase 1 you tell me about all these crazy new forms of push up torture? ahhhhhhh

    Have a great day!

You've been working out with me for how long? Don't you know me at all by now?? Today when my arms were on fire and he kept saying "don't put them down! keep pushing!" I mentally pushed him through a wall. See ya later! Bye bye Mr. Evil !

I've also turned violently on Ariel. She's the blonde standing next to him at the beginning of cardio abs with the "cat that ate the canary" look on her face. She has a very very determined look on her face through out this workout and he goes to her often. Her expression irritates me...or maybe I'm irritated because she can actually do all the crap the entire time, it's not clear. LOL I did remember that the evil cat on the smurfs was named Ariel too. Coincidence? I think not.

Overall I like this workout. I did pop and hurt my knee during a move that shouldn't have popped and hurt my knee though. Today I almost fell for no reason like Kirstie Alley's dance partner on Dancing with the Stars.

 at this entire post!! You're right, I should know better. But LOL @ you mentally pushing him through a wall. I bet that gave you wind!

I know who you're talking about. I was looking at her body in today's workout, saying that she has the best physique out of all the women, aside from Tanya.

No, no, no!!! No injuries for you. I hope that it's temporary and you'll feel better soon. And poor Maks. I was asleep but saw the replay this morning. How embarrassing for Kirstie!

I would have died and left the floor.

I'm sure the knee will be fine. Nothing a little knee brace can't fix. If that doesn't work I'll brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack and pretend I'm Ke$ha.

In the Middle Ages, they had guillotines, stretch racks, whips and cahins. Nowadays, we have a much more effective torture device called the bathroom scale. ~Stephen Phillips

Got in the 5am Pure Cardio! I am really starting to hate this one! Who in their right mind can jump up - jump down - jump back - do 8,439 pushups and jump back again! Those things are killer -- and I hear that month two has more of these LEVEL drills -- I hope that DVD comes with an oxygen tank!!!

I've been running for 1&1/2 months before I started Insanity yesterday, so I didn't think my leggs would be this tight after doing this morning's workout.... The longer I'm at work the stiffer I'm getting... I guess I'm a sick individual, but I'm actually liking this feeling... It's been so long since I've felt it....

Do y'all know what your average calories burned are? Mine range from 288-350ish, I would think it would be more. Well maybe that's wishful thinking on my part.

I seem to have hit a plateau (sp) with my weight. I'm stuck around 132. Insanity 6 days a week and I run 4 days a week. You'd think it would be easier to lose weight. I keep my calories under the 1833.

    Suggestions?

That seems to be an ongoing theme with us INSANITY peeps. I've actually went up 3lbs since starting it. But everyone I talk to on here and others have done it say that they don't seem much of a weight change scale wise. That you have to look to your measurements and before/afters to really appreciate the difference. Frustrating...I TOTALLY get it!!! My calories right now are set at 1360 but I eat all my exercise calories back and have15lbs left to lose. My avg burn is about 300 from looking at my exercise log the past 2 weeks, including Cardio Recovery which bums me out with such a low burn!! Well...there's the burning in my thighs!

    Hey Guys,
Great Insanity thread. I just started my second round of insanity on 4/3. I also did a round last spring. Those of you fretting about the scale try to ignore it. I was frustrated last time after the first month when the scale wouldn't move. I didn't follow the meal plan to well in the first month the last time but followed it closely the second month and that along with the tougher workouts it gave me great results. In the end from day 1 to day 63 I only lost 2.5 lbs but if you look at my pics in my profile you can see the results. The first full body pic is day 1 and the second full body pic is day 63.
Now after working out but not watching my diet to closely the last few months I've started to develope a little spare tire again so I am turning back to Insanity to burn it off just in time for summer.

    Dig Deeper guys :).

Yeah!! Someone else hates those drills too!! I hear "you've got to be kidding me?" in my head a lot during those.

My knee hurts. When you guys get to this full recovery week, please figure out what is making my rib bones hurt in my back. I wasn't aware I was working those out too. That's a new ache. Can't wait to see what I can hurt a week from now!! :smokin:

Shakemybooty- the ribs in your back? hmm... my shoulders feel like @$# today and for a workout to "let my muscles recover" my quads are sore as hell now too! The recovery workout isn't very hard, but very muscle intensive (or at least when the incredible Staypuff marshmallow woman a.k.a. me does it).

That's pretty funny you tell yourself "you've got to be kidding me".... in our house, someone pretty much says that about every exercise... and I have to be honest and say I have stopped reprimanding my 16 year old for cussing at Shawn T. Figured it was pretty hypocritical to yell at him for it and then let an F bomb fly 5 seconds later.

Our second night of the recovery week tonight.. have a great workout ya'll!

After coming from work, I procrastinated some time. It started with ET and then watched Biggest loser. By then I got tired and was hungry. I didnt workout my week 2-Day 2 of Insanity. But I promise to do day 2 tomorrow morning and day 3 in the evening.

Keep up the good work guys!!
