What's your favorite "healthy" cereal? Just curious.

I know cereal isn't best for weight loss, but I only eat a cup with skim milk and its not even every day so I don't feel too bad indulging..I recently got the fiber one 80 calories chocolate cereal and I have found that it's more cocoa flavored than sugar flavored, which I like because i don't feel as guilty, lol.

I love Corn Flakes, and if I'm craving sweets, it's frosted flakes to the rescue. I am weird though, because cereal is not a breakfast food for me, it's a late evening snack.:)0

Love throwing Apple Cinnamon Cheerios into a bag and eating them dry.
Or Honey Nut Cheerios.
Nom nom nom.0 -
Trade Joe's - Toasted Oatmeal Cereal, 110 cal. per serving. Taste great.0

I don't like cereal enough to fit it in. But, if I have nothing else to eat... I suppose... Grape Nuts with honey. It's like SWEET ROCKS!0
-
cinnamon toast crunch. Amazeballs0

All bran with some sugar (10g of fibre for one serving + 8g protein from the milk). The other cereals here don't have much nutrition so if I eat them, it's just as a treat and not as a meal.0

rice krispies with a sliced banana ... i don't know if its healthy but i like it lol0

why isnt cereal best for weight loss?
all you need for weight loss is a calorie deficit?0 -
Barbaras Multigrain Spoonfuls, 3/4 cup serving is 120 calories.
I eat it with unsweetened organic soy milk.
Yummy.0 -
Corn flakes. I don't eat cereal everyday but when I eat, I eat adding walnuts, raisins, banana with 2% milk and handful of cereal. Yummy.0
-
Kashi, harvest crunch. it is my fav and its not too bad cal wise.0

Count Chocula.
Because no foods are "best" or "worst" for weight loss on their own. The only thing bad for weight loss is a calorie surplus. Plus, cereal is fortified with vitamins.

Homemade Bircher muesli.
It's easy to knock up a big batch and prefer it to the pre packaged stuff which usually has more calories per equivalent serving, is less filling and doesn't taste as nice. No brainer really.0 -
I am loving Total these days. Add a little banana and/or strawberries in for sweetness. Only 100 calories and really good numbers on the micros.0

If I'm having cereal at all I'm going with something delicious and already in my cupboard, which with my kids' latest cereal preference leaves me with Golden Grahams. I may or may not have made S'mores Cereal Bars by modifying the Rice Krispies Treats recipe a little... and they may or may not have lasted until the kids got home from school...0

Honey Graham Oh's from Quaker, and their Oatmeal Squares ( I think is the name). Not super healthy, but oh so yummy0

I like any type of shredded wheat. I like it plain as a meal with banana and milk. But for dessert I love the Maple Brown Sugar Frosted Mini Wheats.0
-
Steel cut oats with dried apricots, almonds and milk. Don't do it often, but love it.0

My favorite cereal at the moment is Wal-Mart's Great Value brand Fruit & Yogurt Awake.0

I had to cut out cereal almost completely, not because I think it's "bad" but because I couldn't stay full enough on the amount of calories I was getting from it. However I do make a mean Greek yogurt parfait that always includes Grape Nuts (and almonds, and banana slices, and strawberry jam!!).0

I love cereal, but I'm kind of a purist in that I don't like the "sugared" ones. Cheerios, Special K and Rice Krispies are my favorites.0
-
Kashi Go Lean, I like the protein content and the taste is just a little sweet, not too sweet.0

Corn flakes and coco pops, especially with sliced banana and some of my son's gold top milk.
They're not inherently unhealthy, but they don't fill me up anywhere near as well as oats, weetabix or eggs. I then end up eating several servings.
I remember doing weight watchers many years ago and being shocked when I first learned what recommended serving size amounts to. You do get quite a few coco pops to be fair, but still, I can put away a lot of cereals. And I only drink full fat milk, so there's that too.
Sorry - just noticed the title 'healthy', I'd still go with cornflakes or weetabix. I eat a lot of weetabix.

Cereal is good for you.... great carb source.
Reese's Puffs (good with coffee yogurt)
Craklin Oat Bran (amazing)0 -
Weet-Bix, and old fashioned oatmeal. Both are not ridiculously high in sugar, provide good amounts of fibre, and keep me full for hours.0
-
Rice Puffs (1cup = 50 calories) with Silk Unsweetened Original or vanilla almond milk (1 cup =30 calories and no sugar)
I do add bananas at times and it does keep me full plus it is great as a snack later in evening0 -
Lactaid 2 % Lactose Free Milk - 100% Lactose Free, 0.5 cup
Kashi - Go Lean Crunch - Honey Almond Flax - 28 grams
Cheerios - Cinnamon Almond Protein - 55 grams
Strawberries - Raw, 0.5 cup
My breakfast this morning. I tend to eat this, as it gives me a sufficient amount of carbs before I head out on an 8-10 mile run. If I don't get enough carb before my run, I'm dead 1/2 way in!0 -
Im that weirdo that liked special K with the dried out strawberries in it haha0

Lucky Charms
Why isn't cereal good for weight loss?0
