I know cereal isn't best for weight loss, but I only eat a cup with skim milk and its not even every day so I don't feel too bad indulging..I recently got the fiber one 80 calories chocolate cereal and I have found that it's more cocoa flavored than sugar flavored, which I like because i don't feel as guilty, lol.

What's everyone's favorite cereal when dieting?

There's nothing good or bad about eating cereal. In fact, I had a bowl of Special K Protein almost every day for breakfast as I dropped down to my goal weight.

The bad thing about losing weight, though, is having to skip second breakfast. :\

i absolutely don't think cereal is bad, regardless if you eat at a deficit you should loose. :)

keeping it low cal i like cornflakes with skimmed milk and a banana on top
    the same with porridge.

Sadly I had to give up on all of them due to containing grain.

I don't really like cereal...that said, whether or not you eat cereal is pretty much irrelevant to whether or not you lose weight.

I eat oatmeal on occasion, but that's about it cereal wise.

Wow! I totally forgot about Cracklin Oat Bran. Good grief that stuff is sooo good. I pretty much like all cereal and eat it all dry, but if I had to pick a favorite....... Honey Bunches of Oats with almonds or Cheerios Protein Cinnamon Almond.

I have never been able to eat just cereal for breakfast though. I need something that sticks a little longer. But it's a great evening snack (or yogurt mix-in) if I can keep it under control!

    healthy cereals is an oxymoron.
a protein shake can have less cals and far more nutritional value.

Yeah - but drinking breakfast never appealed to me. I like to chew food. Besides protein shakes are not designed as meal replacements.

Plain old Cheerios with a boatload of cinnamon. But then, I'm diabetic and it's the lowest carb/sugar cereal. And it keeps cholesterol down, which is good when you eat as much meat as diabetics tend to.

But man...when I am a cheater, Special K Vanilla Almond. I can't even kid myself that that's not dessert.

I like original Special K with light vanilla almond milk. It's not overpoweringly sweet which is good. Also multigrain Cheerios!

Frosted mini-wheats. I don't view cereal as health food, so if you're going to eat cereal you might as well have a type that has a little bit of sugar in it. But frosted miniwheats also has plenty of fiber and some protein too, so it's not complete junk food.

Knitapeace..... I used to pretend to be a dog 90% of my childhood. I would beg for Cracklin Oat Bran and then eat it off the floor. Embarrassing, but really speaks to its deliciousness! :)

Edge with protein. Maple flavour nut cluster. Or Lucky Charms. They're both tied really. Luckily I only eat cereal every once in a while, and I keep it to 1 cup at most.

I don't know how healthy they are, but Cheerios and Raisin Bran.

I loved the sugar cereals, too. They were so good!!

I like the Special K brand, whether it's just the protein plus or the more indulgent one with chocolate.. haha. Also like Grape Nuts, as old-personish as that sounds. I think Weetabix is good too.

half a bowl of erewhon crispy brown rice no salt cereal mixed with half a bowl of erewhon corn flakes. the cereals have no sugar, either added or naturally occurring, are very low sodium, and are super tasty and crunchy. top with a little xylitol after the milk's poured on, and voila! my favorite bowl of cereal.
