Stocky, Husky, Chubby, Fat

Looks are secondary for me. I want a guy I can connect with. Intellect, humor, hobbies, independence, ect. If we run out of things to talk about by date #2, then I don't see it lasting. Even if I don't think you're the hottest guy on the planet, if you can meet the criteria listed above, I'd be fine. Although, I will say, I find my husband's appearance to be really attractive. Black hair, green eyes, nice bright smile, confident, and a nice butt. Our weight doesn't bother me as much, I just want us to be healthy. = )0

Personally I am slim and tall, 137lbs, 5'8 and I love husky guys.... I am not attracted to slim guys even IF they are CUT... I like husky/musclular or not even.... as long as his shoulders are broad and his hands are mighty.... big boned men turn woman on more than small structured men do, and this goes for most woman's preference.. Big husky men make woman, feel, like woman... lol0

this is an interesting thread, I wish there was a poll feature, it seems like most women prefer average or a little pudge.... I wonder what most guys prefer?0

If this thread was about what men prefer, I'm sure it would end up being a complete *kitten* storm.

I like meat on my men's bones but I don't mind muscles either. I usually fall for the face and personality.0

I agree. I think it would go a liiiitle differently...
but hey, people do have preferences, and there is someone for everyone....or at least most everyone...0 -
I always thought being jacked would be ideal, but it just doesn't seem functional. I have never been able to really put on muscle mass, but we'll see how this round goes. I'm 5'11 - 6' on a good day, but my ideal weight would be a solid 175-180lbs.0

I agree with most ppl I think. I love looking at really fit men, but in reality I'd rather cuddle with someone whos a little bigger and softer and make me feel small. My bf doesnt work out a lot, has a bit of a belly, but he loves hiking and playing tennis with me, and can pick me up and throw me around with ease (which he does all the time ) Thats all I can ask for!0

My boyfriend's a thin, short guy. No real muscle, but not overweight either. Seeing as he's the only guy I want, I'm good with that.0

Yeah it's not like looks are *nothing* but they are definitely not THE thing. I like guys who are honest and genuine and kind to others. Snarky aholes are an instant turnoff. Aint nobody got time for that. I like going camping; it's nice for a dude to appreciate that activity also. Any more, this list is all theoretical, since I'm married and not "on the market" lol. Went camping with hubby last weekend. Discovered the existence of pumpkin spice marshmallows, also. XD0

I love a bit of fuscle! It's what my friends and I call it when a guy looks kinda broad and bulky but you can't tell if it's muscle or fat in clothes. Or when naked/shirtless there's obviously muscle under there, but it's softened with a layer of fat. So if a guy tenses, you can see his arms/legs get bigger, but when relaxed you can squish it in just a little bit. That's the best for cuddling, and also means I don't feel obese in comparison haha.
EDIT: If I was gonna pick a Chris Pratt it would be Parks and Recreation Chris Pratt0 -
I like a bit of chub on.0

Over on Reddit on the /askwomen subreddit, someone asked how important working out to get muscular was. I think 19 of the roughly 20 who answered said it wasn't important.0

^^^^^^^^^^
I reached my weight goals and was rolling around at 25% bodyfat.
Below is me at 15% body fat and again, 185 pounds.
I like this look and feel. If I cut any lower, I lose energy and pep, so this is it.
Below is my progress compared to my younger self. Oh, by the way...I no longer need the head band to control my hair on windy days.
I wonder how many times I've seen your pictures in a post in the last two weeks

I seem to have a preference for tall and skinny or tall and husky. Muscles don't mean diddly to me. But then, I am more attracted to men with charisma and self confidence, no matter what they look like.0
-
I personally like stocky with a good amount of muscle. I don't care if there's some fat over top! lol my husband is very muscular and has really wide shoulders but with a layer of fat over top and I like it just fine!0

Gentlemen: Do you care about being the jacked guy or is being a little husky comfortable for you? As a man, I know it takes a lot of effort to get to the lean and cut stage. Also, it seems to only be sustainable if you truly want to do it for the sake of your health and lifestyle. A lot of guys want to impress women or do it as a milestone in life.
Nope. I've been some variation of "big" most of my life. I always carried the weight "well" with clothes on, looking more like a football player than Peter Griffith.
But no matter what you call it, husky, chubby, big, teddy bear, whatever, I want no part of it. I don't even want to get that big-but-lean jacked look that so many dudes aspire for. My vision for myself, my goal, is a lean, streamlined look more akin to a professional swimmer or lightweight MMA fighter. At 5'10" on a medium frame my goal weight is 155lbs. If I hit between 10-12% bodyfat at a higher weight, that's all good, but I've prepared my mind for the possibility of going much lower than the average US male.0 -
I'm female 5'10 140 lbs. I seem to be attracting more overweight guys since I've lost weight in the past year.
I don't care about muscles, but I am generally attracted to guys that are at least 6ft. tall, and in the 200-250 range. As long as he doesn't have a big beer gut, he doesn't have to have a six pack or be cut. A normal body, or even small love handles is not a problem for me.0 -
There are a lot of different body types I appreciate admiring. That being said, the man I prefer treats me wonderfully, makes me laugh, tells me he thinks I'm beautiful, loves me even when I don't look my best, and still wants to be with me when I'm cranky or we've just a fight.
See? You have no idea what he looks like. I've been with him for nearly 27 years. To me, he's the best looking guy in the world.
I love looking at many different types of men, but as far as who I want to be with, imperfect is fine, as long as he's the perfect man.0 -
I pretty much love every soccer player's body.0

Which, from a purely anecdotal perspective, I find very out of line with my real world experience.
I get much more attention, and from much more conventionally attractive women, the smaller/leaner I get; that's always been the case. Everytime I read a thread like this it seems most women make the claim that looks don't matter all that much to them, or that they actually prefer a man with some extra padding, or is just average, yet that seldom bears out in real life from my observation. And considering I'm in the entertainment industry, and thus know a lot pretty attractive people, it's very easy to see that men who have the standards good looks, built body, definitely aren't encountering the attitude pervasive in this, and similar threads, where so many of the women say they don't prefer ripped/cut/muscular/greek god type of men, or are fine with chubbier dudes with a great personality.
None of my average/chubby/husky/fat friends, with GREAT personalities, do anywhere as well with the ladies as my lean/cut/ripped friends do...often without having to even say much. I'm not saying women here are lying, just noting an honest discrepancy between like threads and my real world experience.0 -

But since you're in the entertainment industry maybe the women you're encountering are more shallow or focused on looks than the real women on MFP? There's no prize for not being truthful here & we're not sparing anyone's feelings by saying a little fat is ok.
I love jacked muscular guys, but they have to have that special charisma & treat me right. What's inside matters too!0 -
My preferences are all over the place. I'm definitely attracted to lean, cut men, but I'm also into long, lanky types and those who are just big and bulky - which fits the description of my boyfriend, who's 6'4 and ~310 lbs. He has some weight to lose but I'm very much attracted to him nonetheless. I like the football player look, don't mind a bit of extra fat. I like being the little dainty one, lol.0

As a man who was very "husky" as a teenager, I can tell you that girls my age didn't really find my body attractive. It wasn't until I started cutting fat and gaining muscle that I started getting attention from women. I think anywhere between 16-18% BF would be ideal for me. Anything less and I would have trouble maintaining, and I don't feel like it would be worth it. Anything more and I start to look "husky."0

I like super muscular guys, semi-muscular, average build, a few extra pounds. There is more to what makes a man attractive than his body, so throughout the years I've found that I'm all over the place when asked this question.
Oh and hairy guys? Totally hot. Like beard, hair on chest, stomach, legs, arms... I'm a fan. and weird.
Same. Shaved/waxed isn't my first choice.
My husband is neither shaved nor waxed, but has ZERO chest or back hair, while having a normal amount on his forearms, legs, head, and other appropriate places. He also cannot grow facial hair worth a damn, in fact as a 36yo man, he shaves M-W-F and what does grow in is patchy (as in, he literally could not grow a beard).
So not all unhairy guys are that way because they shave/wax.

I personally think bulging muscles are gross, but I'm not fond of the 'husky' look either.
I like skinny guys with a bit of natural strength. I respect the work people put into getting 'ripped', but 6packs and the like are really not for me.0 -
I like to look at muscly bodies, don't care about too cut..
I love wide shoulders, big arms and a nice round butt! x3 Don't care if there's a bit of tummy, as long as it's not 'flabby' (if that's the correct word). But skinny guys can be attractive too, as well as softer ones. It's the personality that makes people more or less attractive anyways.0
