    Yes - thank you for this. I just joined. Since I'm a non-competitive newbie, not sure how "interesting" I'll be for others to read about but I'm sure I'll learn a bunch.

    Good for you. A lot of people don't really give it a shot. The concept2 in my gym just sits there (although I'm glad because it is always available for me to use). I'm going to push a little harder to get it fixed. When I first started, I could barely do 10 minutes. You can do this.

    If you are new to rowing, I highly recommend this website -- http://indoorsportservices.co.uk/training/guide -- which has lots of tips on learning to row and training. the concept2 website -- http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/training -- has three or four really good videos on technique. watch them and you'll avoid developing some painful habits.

    i tried rowing at a slower stroke per minute rate to focus on technique.really helped,as time was still on par with average even at increased resistance.
