Weight Lifting Ladies

edited November 2024 in Introduce Yourself
Hi everyone! I'm Amanda, been an MFP member since this past spring and in that time I've lost a touch over 50 lbs. I always dabbled in weight training but now I'm getting serious about it by starting Stronglifts 5x5. I'm looking for more gal friends in their 20s who lift heavy! :)

Welcome!

I'm 26 and I lift lol. I don't follow the strong lifts program anymore because I couldn't keep squatting every lifting session. Feel free to add me :)

Me too - and I just started 5x5 so I'm not even lifting heavy. Yet.

Hey! I'm 28, I love lifting, I was going to do SL but I decided to do Ice Cream Fitness 5x5 instead because I liked the added accessory work  Feel free to add me

Okay let me clarify and apologize - I'm not trying to shoo away people older than 20s at all - and I'm sorry if that came off rude. So let me start over lol. Any and all weight lifting ladies are appreciated :)

check out some of the lifting groups for us gals - those girls put my loads to shame!! I've been lifting for a long time, took two years off to have a couple more babies and am now trying to get my strength and stamina back, started with 5x5 when baby was two months old and now sort of do my own modified hybrid of a few things. I'm happy with how quickly it's coming back to me.

I didn't think it was rude either. Nothing wrong with having a friends list of people in your same age group. Lifestyles, etc., are different.

I'm 31 and lift weights, any of you ladies can feel free to add me, I log daily and lift 3-4 times a week. I've done stronglifts, icecream fitness, 5/3/1 and am currently doing my own program, basically "do whatever" or "bench for an hour on tuesdays and squat for an hour on thursdays" or whatever I feel like doing when I get to the gym really.

I am kind of funny, maybe. I am also honest. Add me if you eat food (enough food) and lift and are super cool (or just think you are).

After every lifting session you need to eat a pint of Ben & Jerry's or you aren't following it properly. ;)

No idea where he came up with the name but it did pique my interest. I'm doing the cutting version, so far its ok. I miss spending more time in the gym but I've continued losing and had to up my calories today because the program is making me hungrier. I thought it was a good transition from my own program to a strength program.

    23 years old and I've just re-started SL5x5
Did it for a while last year and really enjoyed it. I finally have a proper gym again and am giving it another go :)

Not super cool, love food, vacillate from OCD to can't be bothered (nothing in between), and from the UK (So most of my US friends find me a bit 'funny') ...

Think I am now close to my goal - in OCD mode right now trying to finally lose that stubborn last few pounds before Xmas, and literally started stronglifts 5x5 this morning.
    - Feel free to add me though :D
