All in all, 9. Quit whining, that's bad *kitten*.
Sore all week sucks. Sucks hard. Sorry man.
I'm skipping my workout today. My calves are on day 3 of DOMS and it' worse today than yesterday. That's what I get for calf raises in between bench sets. lol.
Hoping Thursday to give a god at either 225 for reps or 265/275/++
Thanks but part of the game!
Did you hit it?0 -

205x5
245x3
275x1
295x1
315x5
295x3
225x15
I may have had one more in the tank with a spotter or in a power rack.

I'm jealous of 315x5.0

I got hit by a truck. I got to the gym and my coach was waiting for me with a grin and a bar loaded with 115#.
AMRAP session, 1 minute on the clock, push til you die or the clock chimes. I'm pretty wiped. lol.0 -

Luckily for you it was a low speed impact and you'll be back again tomorrow!0 -

If you're going to test your 225 max I'd probably cut out a majority of the middle of that. Strong boy you are, though.0 -

Those are always the best. With all the ice on the ground, I got to watch a real one.
The cycles were a pita, but I put the work in. lol.0 -

Seriously. I ever need a bouncer.0 -
Whatever I did last week with this test, I strained my left shoulder with the pain on the lateral delt. I have never ever had any sort of injury, of any type, ever benching - and that covers some 20 intermittent years of it. Darnitol.
Fortunately - good thing that this next cycle does not involve any flat bench barbell work and I had programmed in decline press and incline as my major lifts, which those movements limit the amount your shoulders assist. I was all pumped up yesterday afternoon and wouldn't you know it, one of the resident chatter bugs was not only getting his social on, but circuiting what seemed like the entire gym with the only decline bench as part of his forever orbit around the gym.
Regardless, there are gains to be had - so I just went ahead with this hack that I've used before at the other Anytime only with dumbbell presses - this set up is in the power rack.
Really had a strong workout and the shoulder is no worse and woke with less pain in it this morning. Or is it the bad DOMS from quad day that are finally catching up to me?0 -

Odd sets, Is that the order you lifted? if so to get 225x15 after all that you are a champ.
I wanted to do most of my work at the higher weight. It is pretty much a pyramid scheme except I singled the last few sets up to the heavy set. Just to get a feel for the weight. I didn't lift last week so it helped.0 -

I wanted to do a burnout set at the end after my heavy work. The test wasn't my main reason for lifting yesterday.0 -
CW: I always found incline to be harder on my shoulders than flat bench but decline was usually pretty good.0

Is getting T levels checked part of a normal physical, or do you have to pay extra for it typically? I've never had it done, but I'd be curious to see what mine were. I just assume they're fine since I want to smash weights and everything else in my site if you know what i'm sayin...0

I requested is specifically, it's not normally done.
There's a few indicators like fatigue that had me concerned, so I asked for it, and my doc said, make it so.0 -

Yeah, fatigue is generally the first indicator. Generally feeling like a bag of **** and weakness are big signs.0 -

Anyway, I have to call my doctor about a v-procedure anyway, I think I am going to request this. Thank you for sharing this - I didn't know you had to specifically request it.

Maybe i'll check into it next time I'm in the office. Is it done through blood work?0

I couldn't do 225 a year ago. In the club now. My max at 225 now sits at 3.0
-
yup, you missed my thread whining about how they stuck an oil derrick in my arm and tried to murder me?
