Thanks for the information SingingSingleTracker! Should be helpful to many on this thread. Seems that a lot of people have taken a break for the winter. I ride year round, but I don't get much snow either. I need to pick up some goggles as the dry air really causes my eyes to get red after an hour or so.0

I'm new to the challenge! My friends are doing a charity bike ride in April, I've not really ridden since I was a kid, but I've decided to give it a shot. I went out a bought a pushbike, so now I'm ready lol. The ride is either 30km or 50km. Since I got my bike in September, I've been doing twice weekly 5km rides.
I've decided I need to step it up, so yesterday I managed 15km and today 31km. Still slow as ever, but I've proven to myself I can at least do the 30km ride

I'm very new to cycling, after spending the last few months on a stationary at my gym, I just bought my first road bike over the weekend. My goal is get at least 3 rides in a week, whether it be outside or on the trainer. I live in Wisconsin, and if there is snow or ice I don't feel confident in my riding yet. My husband is working on getting me a bike computer so I can figure mileage out on the trainer.

hey there. so far in december i've done 62 miles in 5 hours. i have a cycleops fluid 2 trainer for indoors. it's a month old, and i absolutely love it. i can see most of my bike training will be indoors even in the warmer months.0
