Moral - if she is willing to hook up with me on the first 3 dates I will never make her my gf - a friend yes but not wifey material and I will only make a lady my gf if I am serious at seeing where things are going
I laughed. If there hasn't been mutual tire kicking by date two, there is no date three. Friendzone that gal and moveon.org.

Why do we humans insist on interfering with a proven product? Millions of years of evolution have shaped the bodies we have today. I understand why we are basically hairless but don't understand why there are remnants of hair remaining or why that hair has differing degrees of coarseness but, if it's good enough for millions of years of natural selection, it is good enough for me. Humanity needs to stop denying its physicality and get on with making the most of the physical and mental attributes that we are so lucky to have.

well I can't speak for all males, but over the past two years, excluding the past few months with my current gf - I have dated well over 6-8 new women a month so I have seen it all, various races, age groups, different personality types (not saying I slept with many of them, strictly entertained them all on at least 1 date)- but the following were big to me:

mannerisms - she better behave like a lady, I'm not trying to date #lightboyversion
Confidence - if she lacks it then she is a loser.
Witty - if she can't crack a joke she is a boring date.
Romantic - candles and poems better go far.
Healthy - I'm not ganna be taking some addict cig smoker out -
Gracious - has to be quick to forgive dating me
assumption of good will - she must assume I'm 'not like other guys'
Good in bed - obviously she doesn't need to be a porn star, but she needs to either be good or willing to do anything I lead into.
    sexy
Moral - if she is willing to hook up with me on the first 3 dates I will never make her my gf - a friend yes but not wifey material and I will only make a lady my gf if I am serious at seeing where things are going
Quick to laugh - I am full of jokes, she needs to be quick in conversation
Willing to stand up for herself - I don't like dating Ms. no confidence head nodding to everything - if she disagrees and has an opinion I love to hear it out
Speaks multiple languages - a very very good and sexy thing
Educated - needs to have at the very least a bachelors degree
High IQ - willing to keep up in abstract conversation
    Loyal - having some integrity
Trusting - has to trust I'm not sleeping with every girl that tries to sleep with me
Fashion expert - I dress incredibly well, she doesn't need to be rocking only designer brands- but she does need to dress phenomenal
    obviously groomed
Long hair - I've dumped women for having haircuts I'm not fond of - and if it isn't long then it looks masculine and bad period.
Silly - she has to be willing to tease me and get silly and goofy
Parents are together - I won't date a chick with daddy issues
No emotional baggage - I took a class from emory university and am well aware that 1/5 or 1/6 women has been sexually assaulted - that is ok - however if they are still hurting and not over it all I don't have time to deal with it - 1 bad case was enough
Mature - being modest - but sexy
a role model - I like seeing her friends and family look up to her

Best of luck with that. I was going to say more but it's unnecessary.

I don't remember how many dates my love and I went on before we were dancin' in the sheets. Why? Because we weren't counting to compare with some arbitrary rule we made up.

But you know what? I fully approve of this list AS LONG AS you hold yourself to the same standards. But I have a feeling that just having such a list indicates the likelihood of baggage.

In other words, this looks like a list of your red flags.

Threads like this are the best.

"I don't care what anyone thinks...but I'll type six paragraph replys assuming they care what I think!"

"It doesn't affect me! I'm not upset! Wait, here, let me respond 16 more times and reiterate that fact while I obviously get more perturbed with each post."

I like shaven myself...nothing like soft smooth legs!

Actually, I saw a bunch of women tearing each other down for their shaving preferences and using words like "gross" in a judgmental way. There's a big difference between "I like to shave because I feel gross when I don't." and "I like to shave and other women who don't are gross."

that last line is genius. my sister waxes everything off below her eyebrows. power to her. i don't shave anything, i simply trim my pits, except for certain occasions (a wedding for example) because it causes a lot of skin irritation in part due to a severe case of keratosis pilaris. i don't like being told i'm gross because i have a skin condition i can't help. and, my husband doesn't shave anything but his head, so as much as i might find his over-hairy pits and back unappealing, i respect his right to do what he wants with his own body. same goes for everyone.

Well I shave my own pits, because I think armpit hair is nasty, so. Bacteria, warm and humid conditions. Ick.

As for legs - I prefer them smooth; makes certain activities more enjoyable. But, it's not something that bothers me per se.

Seriously who shaves anymore or even waxes for that matter?

It's all about laser hair removal and has been for awhile.

    L-A-S-E-R!

It's affordable, quick, safe, non invasive and doesn't even hurt that much. Over the course of two years, I had my whole body zapped and that fur has never grown back.

    It's a wonderful thing.

I'm really considering getting zapped. I can't not shave. I've tried. Body hair doesn't bother me at all, but the feel of it on my body really does. The stubble rubbing makes me so crazy that I've gotten up in the middle of the night to shave so I could get some sleep (it's okay, I know I'm crazy).

So, what's the ballpark definition of affordable? Like under $5k? Sorry (but only a little) if I'm being too nosy.

This is the most childish thing I've ever read. Do you really think a woman cares whether you like her haircut? We cut our hair based on what WE like. We don't need a man's approval.

ETA: If you dump a woman because you don't like her new do, I hope she runs for the hills and never looks back because who wants to be with someone who is that judgmental? Give me a break.

I shave most of the time, but when I have bouts of severe depression, I just can't and I wish men would be a little more understanding of that.

i dont think its gross when people do or dont. but i look better when i do, in my opinion.

that said, until i started going to the gym and therefor still wearing shorts in winter, i tended to never shave my legs after september until april or so.

i cant stand how they leg hairs get pulled by socks or leggings though.
armpits, yeah I think shaven is best. its not like it takes ages to do in the shower. im lucky that my leg hairs don't get very long or scratchy so I can get away with not shaving for ages, and I wear pants/leggings 95% of the time. and if I do, its a treat. if I had thick, dark hairs I'd be a bit more vigilant with keeping it off, or covered up

I don't shave my legs much in Winter - too lazy I walk around like a monkey lol
  • Posts: 1,648 Member
It's a free country..each to their own. I work with a blonde girl who doesn't shave her armpits or legs. In winter she has a denim coat with a badge on it that says " tell me again why I have to shave?". She is not a conformist in many ways. She is an interesting girl.

Check groupon, there is a salon where I live that regularly does groupon deals for unlimited visits for a year for around $150-$450 depending on how big of an area you are getting done (lower end is face, higher end is full body).

Wow. I would totally do full body for $450.. EXCEPT I'd leave a landing strip on my lady part because I have issue with looking prepubescent.
