on the TV at the gym there is top 40 so Taylor swift etc but on my phone I listen to sabaton, sonata arctica etc.

I don't really listen to specific bands while at the gym, i just make a playlist out of the more upbeat songs i normally listen to, no one wants to work out to a slow jazz style song

I never quite got the idea of special workout music. I want to listen to the same music I listen to any other time. I have one giant Spotify playlist and have no interest in having sublists for different "moods" or genres.

I typically listen to old blues/finger pickers from the 30's and 40s, bluegrass, swing, and Elvis. Some of it is just not great for workout. Though I have listen to Edith Piaf while working on a few occasions and ...it worked.

"A seasoned witch could call you from the depths of your disgrace..."

By the time that song's over, you'll mostly be done with your workout!

    Dance, tribal fusion

    sample?

    my interest is piqued.

For me I rotate and flip flop between two play lists called grinder zone and kicking *kitten*

anything modern/pop/hip hop/alternative/ etc etc goes into grinder zone

and kicking a%% is anything metal rock or otherwise- it's not hard to see the breakdown here LOL

    My favorites this week:
    Sam Smith/Disclosure- Latch
    Ivy Levan- The Dame Says
    Mark Ronson- UpTown Funk
Lady Soverign- Love me or Hate me (i know it's an oldy- it came back around)

    My other play list
    OTEP- Apex Predator
    *kitten*- In this Moment

Anything by 3 days grace stained or trapt- or tool- also breaking benjamin
Five finger death punch and Rolling stones- Paint it black is in there too- because- why not.

I don't NEED my music to workout- but I do enjoy having it- but honestly it's more for my resting than my lifting- I don't really hear the music when I lift.

I watch netflix when I do cardio- so no music there.

Most of the time is metal but from time to time i'll switch things up and put on some hip hop.
