I've been thread-stalking this post since early December, but didn't think I had a prayer of hitting the 5-pound goal. I was careful most of the month, but the holidays were tricky. Anyway, my weight this morning was exactly 5 pounds under what it was on Dec. 1.

I'll try not to celebrate this show of willpower by eating all the leftover Xmas cookies. ;-)

Well, so what? I didn't lose weight; however, I essentially maintained for the entire month. I will celebrate the fact that I am overall at my lowest weight in over 6 years. And I will also celebrate that I healthily and reasonably lost 22 pounds this year, gained so much fitness in my running and strength training.
Over this year, I also gained so much confidence in what my body can do and did it all with the tremendous support and knowledge of the MFP community. Thank you to you all, and godspeed for everyone in achieving your fitness goals! (*)

I went all out from Saturday - Tuesday, hitting the gym everyday, eating clean. No coffee, sweets, etc, increased my water intake as well, and got more sleep.
I did the impossible for myself, and hit my goal weight for the month of December!
For a little treat to myself I am eating some toblerone chocolate right now!!

My birthday is 12/16 so I may be adding a couple pounds from my birthday dinner at Maggiano's Italian Restaurant. LOL).
