    Do you eat nuts at all? Try eating almonds everyday. Great protein, healthy fats and will get you to your calorie goal quicker. You can get a lot of protein without it being junk food.

    After I gain some more weight on this diet I plan to do paleo. I go to the gym everyday. I do squats with weights and I have seen results already. Junk food makes me feel like *kitten* so I don't eat it.

    Chicken, eggs, nuts, olive oil... you consider that junk food? I don't understand why you want to gain on this diet then switch to paleo. I don't care for paleo but if that is what you want to do why not start it now to help you gain?

    You do not have to eat 'junk food' but your macros are not good ones. As people have been saying, 10% fats and 10% protein are too low.

    What is the logic of going from a 'fruitarian' to what is nearly the polar opposite?

    This macro split is not going to be an effective way to gain weight. I don't understand why you would want to do this to gain weight and then switch to paleo.

    I'm not a fan of any fad diet, but if you want to choose a diet to follow, pick one that has macro ratios that will at least get you to your goals. The paleo diet has no specific macro breakdown, and while it limits carbs, many people add in extra carbs (their go to seems to be sweet potatoes) during bulks.

    There are a lot of people responding in this thread with a ton of experience with bulking. Don't just dismiss them because you think being a fruititarian is "healthy".

    If you want to gain muscle it is highly inefficient/suboptimal to have an 80/10/10 breakdown.

    If you do not want to eat things like ice cream and pizza, even though there is nothing wrong with eating them, because they do not make you feel good, that is fine, but you can still eat whole foods without keeping the 80/10/10.

    junk food is not high calorie food. which is essentially what you've just done.

    It's just high calorie food- and it's often perfect for bulking because it's less filling- and full of calories. It's not junk- it's just got a different profile than what people need on a regular bases- but there is nothing inherently WRONG with those foods. If you don't want to eat them that's fine- no one is forcing you to- but that doesn't mean there is something WRONG with those foods.


    Secondly- your macro split is just absurd for your general health.

    You don't seem to actually be listening to the advice given. You need more protein and fat in your diet. You will find it incredibly difficult to gain weight eating like you are currently. We are not telling you that you have to eat pizza if you don't want to. But, you should be able to add lean meats and healthy fats (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado, nuts, full fat dairy) to your diet and still not eat "junk".

    If you don't like that advice, good luck with doing what you are doing. You clearly have it all figured out, and I'm not sure what the point of this post is.

    Oh, and by the way, if you are only doing some weighted squats, then your bulking routine is pretty terrible. But, you are obviously not looking for help with anything, so I will stay away from giving you input on what would be more beneficial.

    The point is bc i felt like posting it and it's my account so I can freely make statements if I want. As I have said like 20 times this is a temporary duet and I have been gain I no steady weight

    Wow it seems we are all wasting our time and good advice here. She clearly isn't looking for help. If anyone needs me, I am going to be at the gym working hard on my booty followed by a delicious meal of protein pancakes topped with syrup and ice cream. The rest of you are free to join me :)
