Another colder run today, but starting tomorrow things are going to start warming up. If I wait until the afternoon to run on Thursday it will be in the upper 40's and I can run in shorts and a short sleeve shirt!

@dennie24 - I tried to sign up for the Rebel challenge this year but it sold out almost immediately.
@LoneWolfRunner - I suspect there are a lot of us 'late bloomer' here too! I wish I had discovered running many years ago and I hope the others stick with it long enough to realize how great it is!

Halfway to goal. Right on schedule. I ran a different route today. Instead of zigzagging through a neighborhood, I did a long loop throught the northern side of down. It's funny how the the distance feels a lot larger when you eliminate the zigzags. I was looking at my map in Garmin and saying, "Dang! I didn't know I'd been running that far.

Been Awol for 2 weeks one week ski holiday , came home from holiday feeling really ill so had to take another week off running, hope to get back out there on Sunday, not sure if I'll make this months goal.
I'm definitely one of the late bloomers as I only started running 2 years ago at the age of 54.

1/3/2015: 1.95 miles outside, because I was too lazy to drive to the gym (?!)
1/4/2015: 4.34 miles treadmill, driving to the gym was terrifying (ask me about my POS car.)
1/5/2015: Rest (replaced car and dealt with insurance)
1/6/2015: Rest (still dealing with insurance - switching to new agency)
1/7/2015: 3.52 miles treadmill (and running around with old insurance agency, some more!)
1/9/2015: 4.21 miles treadmill
1/12/2015: 3.5 miles treadmill
1/14/2015: 6.99 miles treadmill (I did 2 Zombies, Run! missions, one with hills and one flat, and added the mileage when I got home, or that would be an even 7.)

Ran a 5K this morning. Cold and drizzly, but glad I did it.

My first running challenge, and as im a complete newbie and just interval ran/walked my first 2 miles this month, im getting a very late start! Gonna set January goal for 20 miles, have 18 more to go.0

Are you running the Alamo 13.1 in March?
Kadibo - no I am running the Back Country Trail Run which occurs on March 7th. I'm doing it for a couple of reasons - I love to run trails; and because I am the executive administrator for our pastors, and Sunday is a workday for pastors, I also work Sundays. Although I can get the occasional one off, it is hard because there are things only I can do. Several of my friends are training for the Alamo 13.1 though.
