    I'm 179.7 centimeters (5' 10" and 3/4).
For the most part, I wish I were shorter, because I've been told I'm intimidating (doesn't help that I'm obese).

But at the same time, 280+ lbs on me would look a lot different if I were like 5' 5".

I  the tall ones too! Never have dated anyone under 5'11" believe it or not!

Just wondering how tall everyone is, and if they'd rather be taller or shorter. Why? No reason, I'm just very, very curious. Like, I'm basically 5'6 (i'm actually 5'5.75) and I don't know if it's because of my weight, but I always feel like I'm some kind of hulking giant xD I wish I was just a couple inches shorter, like maybe 5'4 or so.

What about everyone else? How tall are you, and are you happy with your height?

    Ummm, did you mean "length"?

6'3" Okay with it most of the time...although I would trade the size of my feet for an bowl of ice cream.

I would definitely like to be more petite. I'm almost 5'8, and I would like to be shorter and slighter.

Used to be 5'11.75" but with 3+ discs in my spine nearly gone I'm down to 5'10.5" although I'm ok with either height, I'd like 3 new/healthy discs back :^|

Why do so many of you women want to be shorter--help me understand that please?

Because society is skewed and sometimes makes taller women feel awkward.
Let's just say when I was in line with someone at a store, they made a comment about how awkward the lady in front of us looked and she was easily 6f2 in flats.

I laughed because I thought they were kidding, but then they had a serious look on their face.

    Society is messed up.

Because usually the taller you are, the "bigger" you seem.

I was once asked if I had been born a man because, I presume, I am tall and had on high heeled boots. People are all sorts if f-ed up.

5'6"... I feel like an amazon next to my 4'11" daughter and my 5' mom. Although if I were taller, say 5'9" my butt would look smaller, right? Right???

I'm 5'8" and people hate me

Lots of people tend to be dumb. Be glad that they sort themselves out of your way all by themselves :)

What should be considered by people (just my 2 cents worth) are beauty of heart, mind, soul, and humor. Height shouldn't be a factor.

Is it certain people who are messed-up or is it society? I think the earlier and it is unfortunate that some people treat tall women badly--perhaps it's due to their "small" minds :\

6'5" and fine with it with three exceptions:

    1. People looking up my nose
    2. Other people with umbrellas in crowds
    3. Low beams and light fittings.
