It's a dialect that some people grow up with. It's very difficult to correct for some people. That's a pretty racist comment. It's easy for you because you learned to say ask. Some people learn at birth to say "axe". it's tricky to change. I know some very intelligent people with high level degrees that slip sometimes without meaning to.
Does it have to be racist?? How about geographical? Or lifestyle? Or upbringing offensive? By stating racist, you are referring to a particular race, when I know many of people from all backgrounds that do this. BTW I do agree with you, everyone has a slip.0 -

People who drive 5mph in the 15mph school zone...
and to add to that, people who continue to drive 5mph after exiting the school zone.
I go through this every morning, so it drives me nuts.0 -
And adults that say "OMG". Meaning, they say each letter. NO. It's acceptable for my 11-year old, but when I hear a 50-year old say it...just no.0

I was going to say this. Holding the door open for someone and they don't say "thank you" not even a smile, a look in your direction. *rage* I always say something to them. Those jerks.0 -
I hate it when I am making a right on red and people making a left just about take my nose off!0
