Anyone eat over 2000 calories?

Anyone eat more than 12-1600 calories a day??? I eat 2050 when I want to lose, I'll eventually get down to 1750(if I want to be super lean) but I consider that super low. I'm active, but have always eaten this way. 5'7" up to 150 lbs (comfortable weight of 135-140). I could definitely use some friends in my calorie range

Net or gross? I net 1700.0

Either really. I don't track my exercise calories, I just stick to a range despite that days activity level. Even if someone is earning back the calories through exercise, id love to see some diaries of people that eat as much as I do0

I used to... But that was when I wasn't trying to lose weight. And I was a lot more active. And I was lifting weights. Now that I have a lame desk job my calorie goal being sedentary is 1400. If I exercise I add the calories back in.0

I'm eating ~2200 right now, gross (total). I am, however, taking a break from weighing myself, so I'm eating at a potential small deficit. I'll be surprised if I've lost even 2lbs by the time I weigh myself at the end of Feb lol. Was previously grossing 2000 to lose but I just wasn't happy. May return to a lower number like that in a few months but I am more determined to improve my lifts and feel full.0

I eat about 2000 a day. I have a pedometer on my phone that syncs with the MFP app0

Ana, that's pretty much where I'm coming from. But I have been over eating for a while and have gained about ten pounds. 2050 is a deficit for me. Any lower and I am grumpy and suck in the gym!0

My plan is down to 1340 as of yesterday. However, about once a week I splurge and eat 2,000 to 2,500. I get back to reasonable and I've still lost 11 lbs in 3 weeks.0

Yeah, I don't think I'll be going below 2000-2050 myself in the near future when I do get back on a more noticeable deficit! 2200 is still as light deficit for me though. I was also sucking in the gym, but that was also due to poor sleep. More food helps so muich though. I'd rather lose slowly than suck at the gym and be hungry or grumpy!0 -
i'm eating TDEE - 20%, which is around 2500 cals a day.0

I'm considering dropping to 1900 with a weekly cheat meal, (weekly total =2050 average) but I'm just so hungry!0

I always eat 2000 plus often alot more!!0

This is refreshing, thanks guys. Everybody is different of course but I don't understand why so many people in here are eating so little0

I'm at 2100 in average right now... just trying to lose a couple more pounds.0

Weight, height, gender, age, activity level, desired rate of weight loss/gain/maintenance, distance from goal weight, strictness of adherence to tracking all play a factor.
A lot of people talk about their *net* consumption (calories eaten minus calories burned through exercise) instead of total.
Nobody is any better or worse than anyone else for choosing a higher or lower calorie target if it gets them where they want to be in a happy and healthy way.

I wasn't judging, just observing :-)0

I'm around 1850 right now. Some days I push it closer to 20000

as i work on my feet 5 days a week, i need to eat closer to 2000 to be happy and comfortable. more if it's a workout day. any less and i'm basically awful to be around.0

On gym days I gross around 2400-2500.0

2700 crew checking in. Being a fat kid, then a skinny kid, then a jacked kid pays off in the delicious, delicious dividends.0

Are you still losing weight? I thought about not counting mine but I do heavy cardio and get hungry.

In order for me to lose I have to stay at 1200 and lower; in order to maintain I have to stay between 1500 and 1800 otherwise it keeps going up and I'd weigh 300 in two years!0
-
I do lose, but I think it's easier for me not to count back my exercise calories because I eat more overall. If I was only eating 1200 I would definitely count them back! Once I started lifting and focusing in intensity rather than duration in my cardio, I found I could eat even more to maintain0

2700 for me is a minimum but im 6'4 125kg active job and plenty of time in gym often leads to consuming 3000+0

5'7" 145lbs and holding steady eating around 3000 cal/day, sometimes more.0

I'm currently at 2200 a day as my goal. If I ever get back to counting then I'll probably raise that a touch as I'm still losing (albeit slowly) despite eating terribly lately. Perks of working in a warehouse.0

When I'm physically able to exercise at my fullest, I can eat over 2000 a day and slowly lose. But I'm still working up to that level after an injury, so I'm at 1500 + exercise calories, usually between 1700-1900. I'm 42 years old, 5'5 and currently 148 lbs. I lost more than I expected last month (7 pounds, aiming for about 4) so I can probably up the calories a bit, but I like to have wiggle room for fun on the weekends. Plus, I'm sure some of that last month was just water weight.0

I hit around 3000 a day but currently trying to bulk0

What kind of exercises are you food braggers doing to eat such massive amounts of calories? And the ones eating like horses and losing weight baffle me too. I took a break from dieting because I flat out stopped losing weight eating 2200 calories. So I eat 2700 for a few weeks. Of course I gained weight. Great. Let's waste more time losing. So two weeks ago I go back to 2200. Great 5lbs of water in a couple weeks. Let's follow the "it's just one day, enjoy your life" BS people preach. Goto a birthday party. Have some nachos and beer for the Superbowl. Great. I weigh more this morning then when I cut my calories two weeks ago. Really? Seriously? I'm 5'11" 233lbs and I lift 5-6 days a week. But the chick who's 5'2 105, she eats 100000000 calories and loses 2lbs a week? Really? I think some people flat out lie about their calorie counts.
You sound bitter.0 -
