I resisted the craving for mcdonalds. Chicken nuggets fries and a coke to be exact. As I passed the restaurant i felt very proud of myself. It's all about the little victories!0

I had to bake a cake today for a function and I didn't eat gobs and gobs of frosting while I was decorating the cake.0

Today was my daughters once a month pizza day, I decided to just order a chicken & bacon salad for myself. They threw in a free garlic bread, which is something I would normally inhale, but the neighbourhood birds got it instead0

I rested my hand on my thigh and realized I couldn't feel any cellulite.0

I am SO proud of myself for not drinking alcohol on "exercise days". Last night after circuit training the group went for dinner. I ordered an alcohol-free Weissbier. When you consider that my earlier nickname was The Weissbier Queen, that is some achievement! I swear that the decrease in alcohol is the main reason behind losing 22kg so far - with 8kg to go. Well done to everyone for getting over their demons!0

I saw the thread title and came on here to say exactly the same as you! I joined the gym three weeks ago and today was doing my normal ten minutes on the treadmill and decided to try for a one minute jog. It was easier than I thought and I managed to do two minutes. It absolutely made my day
That was me ten days ago ... today I jogged 9 minutes on the treadmill SO PROUD!!
And today I have managed 15 minutes and done a whole mile Ridiculously slowly but I don't care, I'm chuffed to bits0 -
I started to think I might pass my pt training this weekend.0

Strange victory: we went out for dinner last night at a little casual pub that serves all kinds of sandwiches, including a club on croissant, which is my favorite. I searched for something healthier with less calories but knew I would be disappointed. So ... I just went ahead and ordered what I wanted but only ate half of it. I put half in a box before I even started. I didn't feel cheated and the calories - while high - weren't crazy high. I can't say I didn't eye that box a few times, though. One of my boys will be happy today with the leftover.0

Keep going! That was me a few months ago and I remember the day I ran a full 20 minutes I broke down and cried! Are you using any running app? I loved my "Get Running App". I ran my first 5K in December and will run a four miler in April.

Oh, I forgot to post my little victory, which was that I was at Sam's Club and about to eat a slice of pizza for lunch (my favorite) and then looked over and saw they had a cobb salad and I actually preferred to eat the salad! Not because I thought I needed to deprive myself or thought it would be "bad" to eat the pizza, but because it looked great and had a good amount of protein on it. I knew that even after the 600 calories from the pizza I'd be hungry before dinner, but with the salad I knew I would be good for a much longer time. Yay!0

I have an inverted push up story, lol. It began with a lot of trash talking to my teenaged boys because I'm no weakling. (Hear me roar, girl power, etc.) It didn't end well. My face was smooshed sideways into the carpet by the weight of my body. I couldn't fall over to one side for some reason, so it took ten seconds or so - amidst raucous laughter and ridicule - for me to right myself. I haven't tried that one again.
On the other hand, you look great and very capable of doing them! Well done. And 55 is an awesome age to do inverted push ups!0 -
I smelled the Tim Horton's pastries and then I bought a fruit cup instead.
Oh I love Tim's! We need them here in the UK. Not getting a French Vanilla and doughnut when I was back in Canada at Christmas was a major victory for me (especially since it's about once a year that I get to go).

I'm not using any apps, I did it on the treadmill at the gym, I just set the speed and then try not to keep looking at the timer as it seems to drag! I find the first three minutes quite tough and then it gets easier. I am going to try and increase it by one minute each time now0 -

Sorry I hit post reply before I wrote anything. It has been 17 days since I have had a glass of wine. Quite a big deal for me and I confident these 35 pounds stem in large part from overindulging. I plan to abstain until I lose the first 10 pounds!0

I finished W4D1 of C25K this morning. I had to push myself really hard to get through it, but I did it.0

Started the c25k a couple weeks back and I've been blowing through it. I know you're not supposed to run during the walking periods and you're not supposed to skip ahead, but the longer I run, the more amazing I feel. By the end of the run (podcast on my iPod), when the guy is telling you not to give up and you're almost there, I'm smiling and turning up the pace. It feels like my inner child has her arms straight out to the side and is laughing and screaming that she is the wind. Irony being that I hated running as a kid, but now I have to restrain myself from taking it too far too fast.
Oh, and I didn't eat that doughnut for breakfast. Temptation can't catch me, ha ha!!0 -
I added more weights to my barbell. I'm easily bench pressing 100 lbs. I know it's not a lot but I started out with only pressing the bar. And it was a struggle.0

I went to 7 different Smith's stores today on the hunt for my Carbmaster Reduced Sugar Nonfat Milk. It's only sold at Smith's and it seems that a lot of people drink this (kind of expensive) milk. Persistence paid off, however, and in the 7th store lo and behold there it was. For 60 calories a glass and 11 grams of protein, it was worth driving all over town for.0

I finally came bake to MFP and the gym after an entire week away. The best part is that I loved working out again!0

Even though it's about zero degrees, blowing a gale and sleeting I walked the mile to the gym, worked out and walked back just so that I wouldn't break my every other day gym streak.0

I was able to get out of bed without too much pain today. And I played dress up and was happy to find that my suit jacket fits again.0

I actually made breakfast for myself today I scrambled up some egg whites and had a banana and cottage cheese! Usually I'm too lazy to make a good breakfast for myself when I'm not at school.0

I fixed the boyfriend breakfast, extra super cheesy eggs, thick cut bacon, buttered toast, and fruit. Omg it smelled so good lol. I stuck with what I planned the night before: steel cut oats, cottage cheese, and some fruit, only had one bite of the bacon! I think I felt just as satiated as him, though!0

I think that is awesome! Great job!! I did recently learn ... in case you want to work it in to your calories ... that bacon is far less calories than I thought. Eggs for protein and a piece or two of bacon isn't a terrible breakfast. (I add the "super-cheesy" too, but that doesn't help me make my point, lol.)0 -
