Would YOU exercise on your birthday?

Yep, for the extra calories.0

Sure, I enjoy exercising.0

My birthday was in February and on that day I ran 10K then had a McDonald's breakfast. Perfect way to start the day.0

During my divorce, when I was working two jobs, going to grad school, dealing with an alcoholic husband and raising three children ... for my September birthday, all I wanted was to run. But I couldn't find the time to get more than a couple miles in. My mother took my kids and pushed me out the door for one of the most memorable runs of my life. I ran through the college and Colonial Williamsburg with no one looking for me and no responsibilities. I'll never forget that gift from my mother. Now (years later, remarried, much calmer life) ... my mom gives me something running-related every birthday - a race entry fee or money for new shoes.0

The only reason I could think of for it being "sad" is if you'd refused to go on a planned birthday day out or something in order to exercise instead because you were scared to miss a workout. Otherwise, it's your birthday, do what makes you happy!0

Gotta make room for cake!0
-
yes, i would exercise on my birthday.
my birthday happens to be a rest day this year. i will probably go cycling if the weather is nice..and then game of thrones premier.0 -
Proper sad.....0
-
I'm going to be a debbie downer here for a second...
I delivered a stillborn baby on my birthday. THAT is sad. Working out and feeling good because you like it on your birthday is not sad at all. Have fun!0 -
I usually book vacation on my birthday, so I'm usually on a beach being active. Do what you like to do.0
-
I am going to do more exercising on my birthday than most days.0
-
Do you what you want. If it makes you "sad" in the eyes of others, that is their problem, not yours. You can't please everyone. Please yourself.0
-
Opinions are like...well you know the rest. Go exercise and enjoy your birthday.0
-
absolutely, i did. your birthday is for you, not other people, if working out makes you feel good, do it0
-
yes I did last year and will do most years unless it's on a work day (12.5hr shift) or a day I don't train (mainly saturdays). In fact I'm doing a marathon on my birthday this year.0
-
I worked 13 hours on my birthday this year, i'd rather go to the gym0
-
Depends on what day it falls on. If it's part of the routine, it stays there.0
-
Hell *kitten* yeah I love this!0
-
The best thing you could do for yourself is to work out on your birthday.0
-
For me, it depends what else I have going on that day but I enjoy lifting so I would actually be stoked if I was able to fit in a heavy lifting session that day.
If I don't have too much other stuff going on (mine's in December so there's a good chance I may be hunting in the morning and partying in the evening) I can totally see myself rearranging my workout schedule to put chest day on my birthday.0 -
I have exercised on my birthday because I wasn't doing much. There's also times when I haven't. Frankly it depends on how I feel. Do what feels right.0
-
My birthday was last Monday, I worked out. I feel better when I work out. Do what you want to do.

I planned to go to the gym on my birthday, although my husband didn't like that. But in the end, the stomach bug kept me home from the gym and doing anything fun, so my husband got half of what he wanted.0
-
I would...but exercise isn't really a chore for me...I love to ride and I love to lift. Actually if it were my birthday I'd probably take the day off work so I could really get out there and enjoy a good long ride.0
-
I've been to the gym every year for my last 3 birthdays; which is about the time I got serious about going to the gym!!! I personally love my gym time...it's my "me" time...why give that up on your birthday!0
-
If you enjoy it, do it.
My friends don't get it either. I don't view my gym time as "exercise" anyway. It's like stress relief, anger management therapy, and an adrenaline rush, so I'd love to be in the ring or on the mats on my birthday.0 -
Hell yesss! For my birthday I usually am excited if my family picks up the slack around the house so I can go to the gym MORE0
-
Do whatever makes YOU happy... don't worry about what other people think (especially not on your birthday!). Clearly the fact you're even thinking about going is because you want to!0
-
I feel so awesome after my workouts; there is no way I would skip feeling that way on my birthday... and if you're doing it in the AM, it will add a little pep in your step ALL day!!!!0
