The...lemon calories?
According to MFP database, one lemon wedge has 2 calories. TWO. Also, chances are, most people are not going to just chow down on a whole lemon wedge.
If you're logging lemon wedge calories (unless you're eating tons of lemons) that are simply flavoring your tea, you may want to get some professional help.0 -

I think the "smooth move" is referring to what comes out of you, and not your movements to the bathroom….
Yeah, and it's been called that at least since I had my first child 17 years ago and my midwife sent me home with a sample.....0 -
I would personally not bother to log the 4 calories in 1/4 lemon, but then I don't log black coffee at 2-4 calories a cup, either... Some seem to be of the mind that you must weigh and log everything that crosses your lips, though... To each his/her own, I say!0

While reading this stimulating thread (see what I did there?) I was reminded of something my older brother used to say growing up, when someone did something clumsy he would say, "smooth move ex-lax..." In a really condescending voice. I thought it was just something my brother made up, but seeing this connection between "smooth move laxative tea" I'm wondering if there was more to it? Was there a commercial or something that I don't remember?0 -

I remember "Smooth Move, Ex Lax!" from before the tea (and, indeed most herbal stuff) was a thing.
In fact, I think that might have been their slogan for a while. Allow me to consult google.0 -
Oh my goodness guys! Thank you for your input! I've obviously decided not to get it. But you all are quite the comedians! I laughed so much!0

Ex-lax is a brand of laxative.
ETA: It's said in Back to the Future, too0 -

That's a good attitude.

Yup, not an official slogan...but a common enough obnoxious kid saying in the early 80s to make it into Back to the Future!
And, OP, way to roll with it, hear reason, and get a good laugh in. You'll go far.0 -

Oh no I knew Ex-Lax was a laxative, I just thought the connection "smooth move" to this tea was ironic and I didn't know which came first, the phrase or the tea. Seems like clever marketing guys who grew up in the 80s were playing on the old phrase. I still wonder where that phrase originated. @EWJLang let me know what Google says...

If you want to try any "teatox," I recommend Tiny Teatox by YourTea. Instead of going through the laxative effects, it works to nourish the digestive system. I can't use any detox for health reasons. It reduces bloating and assists with weight loss. Look it up! I drink it and it helps a lot. I don't use it quite like the directions, just mostly before a "bad" meal or if my stomach is upset. But people have had really good results using it three times a day like the directions! Hopefully that helps!0

Hi, maybe if you looked it up instead of remaining ignorant you'd understand.
Also, I've had my large intestines surgically removed, so the tea doesn't work like that.
It's labelled as a teatox, but that doesn't mean it's a laxative. Maybe do your research before commenting.

Why, in this so-called "information age" do good folks still fall for bad ideas like this?
The answers are just a few google searches away.0
