I'm not a coffee drinker. I make bulletproof hot chocolate:

    1 serve chocolate protein powder
    1 raw egg
    1 tsp grass fed butter
    1 tsp coconut oil
and obviously top up with hot water

    Very, very creamy and delicious!!

I use a hand immersion blender to mix it all. Takes all of 2 minutes

You just became my hero. I must try this. O_O

This is what I don't get.
Cream + agitation + sometimes salt = butter.
Coconut oil + some other stuff = nondairy creamer.

Why go through all the work?

How is adding a spoon of coconut oil to coffee extra work? Or the cream, for that matter?

The "original" recipe calls for a blender, hence the extra work.

I take my coffee black, but I see little difference between adding cream or coconut oil. Heck, go nuts and add peanut butter if you like it.

I will have to try it with the oil. I wanted to for a while now. MCT I think its called. I have to order some. I have done it with butter and like it. No sweeteners though. A nice little kick to start the night ( I'm a night nurse).

Putting coconut oil in my coffee just doesn't sound good to me.

I agree. Personally, the only time I like coconut oil is during sex, but as part of a meal, it is disgusting. I dont know why that is...

Its about personal preference when it comes to taste and texture. Coconut oil is one of the most healthy oils there is (saturated), so from a health standpoint, it is good. Two other options are butter and heavy whipping cream.

I've had it, but prefer it with butter. However, it's not something that I really want to put my calories towards - I'd rather eat them than drink them. I am happy with my coffee black, so I usually drink it that way. I didn't notice any extra zippy energy.

I use hwc in coffee to delay my first meal. If I have coffee at 07:00, I usually won't eat until after noon, sometimes not until 14:00 or 15:00.

Try my version, chi spice tea with banana flavored whey protein powder plus cold press coconut oil.
    Breakfast in a cup.

I love calling an oil an appetite suppressant. I think that's called extra calories. Calories, the ultimate appetite suppressant.
