What am I doing wrong? Less than 16 lbs lost in 4 months (pics)

Today was the day I first stepped on scales since June 2014, and frankly speaking, I was shocked. 61 kilos!! ( 134 lbs)
Thing is, I work out and keep my diet since 01/01/2015. On that day I looked like this: (around 65 kilos(150 lbs) waist 80, hips 113)
Since then I started working out 25-60 minutes every day and cut on my calories intake. Now I hardly consume even 900 a day and feel great. I still work out every day, mostly strength training, intervals, and I can see muscles building up. I've never had them before!
Now I look like this: (61 kilos(134 lbs) waist 69, hips 99)
Can you see the difference from the previous photo? It seems like there is a difference, I can see that and feel that, but what the hell is going on with the weight? What am I doing wrong? Mayhaps I'm not seeing myself correctly, so to speak?

What are you doing wrong?
Nothing. You've lost weight in a slow and sustainable way and you look terrific.0 -
I suspect you are not seeing yourself correctly...you look great...not sure why weight is an issue.0
-
You look great, and that's what, half a pound a week or so? Seems right on track for sustainable long-term weight loss.
ETA: The info in the post indicates that you lost 16 lbs, not 9, which is 1 pound a week and freakin phenomenal. You are doing great, and could definitely eat more if you are only eating 900 calories a day. THAT is not sustainable at all, and dangerous to boot. Hard to get adequate nutrition at that level.0 -
You may be wrong about your start weight - it sounds like you didn't actually weigh yourself on Jan 1 so you may have been more than 65. I say this because you've lost over 4 inches in your waist, and usually an inch is roughly 5 lb.
You should be eating at least 1200 calories a day - i hope you are underestimating because 900 is just not enough0 -
You don't need to loose anymore weight.0
-
Also you're doing your math wrong! You've lost 16 in 4 months0
-
Whoa! Emma, your ticker says you have 24 pounds left to lose. You might want to rethink that.0
-
You look great! Your measurements are arguably even more important than your weight! Some lose more weight, others more inches/cm...0
-
Why are you only eating 900 calories?0
-
How tall are you? You look great. No idea why you wanna lose 24lbs more.0

Slow is the word! I just hoped it would be just a bit faster(I suspect you are not seeing yourself correctly...you look great...not sure why weight is an issue.
Thank you! My perfect weight is 52 kilos, I rememver myself in it and I want to look like that again.0 -
You look fab! Slow and steady is the wtg!0

Oh, my mistake. 16 lbs in 4 months is not really a great progress, as for me... I don't starve myself, I don't even know why I get so little calories. I just enjoy salads and the mere fact of giving up on cakes and sausages has brought me to that 900/healthy_life2015 wrote: »You may be wrong about your start weight - it sounds like you didn't actually weigh yourself on Jan 1 so you may have been more than 65. Well, I didn't weigh myself, you are right, I was just judging on the photo. 2 years ago I looked like this and had 65, so I assumed I had the same in January.
I know I have to eat 1200 but should I make myself eat something if I don't feel hungry? I'm not sure about that.

I know, sorry I use metric systemWhoa! Emma, your ticker says you have 24 pounds left to lose. You might want to rethink that.
Why do you think that? I had 115 lbs once and it looked perfect:) So this is my goal.0 -

I just can't keep wondering what is wrong with it? I'm losing inches and it's great, but why am I still so heavy?)Why are you only eating 900 calories?
I try to stick to 1200, but once I excluded bad food and started cooking healthy food I just can't reach that calorie limit. One cannot consume vegetables in such amounts I have 4 meals a day and a fruit/sweet snack, and I don't know where to add.0 -
Peanut butter or ice cream as part of the snack?0

45 gr chocolate or a muesli bar is usualy my snack. I can't give up chocolate(0 -
When were you 115? You are pretty young. If you were 115 several years ago, your body likely has changed in a way that means you look just as good at a different weight.0 -

I was 115 lbs. in high school, with the physique of a 12 yo boy. So for me, I definitely don't want to go back to that
Really, though, don't get too tied to a number on the scale. You look fabulous right now. If you are truly only eating 900 calories you should eat more because that's not a sustainable plan. However, I would tend to think that your math might be a bit off there because otherwise you would be feeling crummy and you don't seem to be so far.0 -
Oh my! R u kidding me? You look great! I don't look like that when I am 134. How did YOU do it????? You are doing nothing wrong.0
-
You look awesome! And for comparison we started about the same time,1/15, and with similar starting points and I have lost 12.5 lbs during that time.0

The calorie number is pretty accurate, I think, I never leave anything amiss. In the end on the day I have a chocolate or something just to get over a 1000k mark, especially if I've been exercising. I just have a very sedative way of life/work, 15 hours a day in front of the computer. My body may even not need so much energy, It's almost sleeping
I don't have photos from high school, but 2 years ago I reached 55kg (121lbs). I don't think I look skinny here, just slim.0 -
Just stop it. You look fantastic. Seriously. ..posts like this make me so sad. What are we doing as a society when a woman with a body like that says "why am I so fat?" and thinks existing on 900 calories is an acceptable way to treat her body?0

It's hard to tell from one picture at one angle, but I'd agree that you don't look overly thin in that picture.0

I have no idea? Maybe it's the muscles? I have gained a lot of muscles lately, ones that I've never seen on myself before But i'm not sure they are big enough to weigh SO much. You look awesome! And for comparison we started about the same time,1/15, and with similar starting points and I have lost 12.5 lbs during that time.
Do you mind if I add you to friends then? ^_^0
