Just wonder I read about it a bit its like you cut all the carbs from you diet and you eat more protein I guess lots of protein and good fat and once your body goes into Kintosis I think that your body uses its own fat as energy instead of carbs so it make you lose weight.
But I don't know how safe it is and I wonder if anyone know about!

This is what atkins diet does. I did it and it did help me lose weight. The good side is you don't feel you are on diet due to the proteins and fat. Downside is you might get bored if you do not have a variety of dishes0
-
The Ketogenic diet is much more restrictive than Atkins, but have similar theories. (less carbs.) Lots of good research and support groups on Keto diets, if you google it.0

I have did a search on it but it say that its not very good for your body... my friend gave me something to follow but my god...puff I feel nauseated to eat egg every morning as example, i'm suppose to eat 5 meal a day, (meal 1 its like 8 eggs white, 2. whey protein shake, 3. 60z chicken with 1 cup of broccoli or asparagus, 4. 6 oz. of fish with salad. 5. whey protein or 10 eggs white... my god I so sick of egg....0
-
I do this for one day and then eat something quite similar for 2 days and then go back to one day ... and so on she say do this for a couple on month... I have started this Monday... and I have headache and feel nauseated but she said its because I cut the carbs and my body is getting used to it.... puff0

Its much more fat than protein and carbs. The idea is that is much more satisfying and curves hunger. I think its like 50-70% calories from fat, ~20%-35% protein and the rest carbs. Women need to be careful because our biochemistry requires some level of carbs.0
-
You're still going to have to restrict your calories. So unless you really like the foods you'd be eating, it really isn't worth it. And since you already posted that you're sick of the eggs, maybe do a more conventional way of eating.

why are you considering this? as a way to lose weight? it will work but it's not easy esp if you like carbs...
remember veggies, bread, pasta, fruit, dairy etc all have carbs...
you don't have to eliminate food groups to lose weight...just stay in a reasonable deficit.0 -

oh really, she told me to eat more protein then fat... it actually get confusing all of this0 -
Too high in protein and not enough of either fuel (fat or carbs) can cause what is called rabbit starvation. Look that one up.0

oh I did not know that .. she told me that I did not need to count them... but if find it hard because I find it way too much to eat 6oz. of chicken and the 2 hours or 3 after eat an other 6 oz. of fish with a salad.... more conventional like what would you suggest.0 -
A ketogenic diet is low carb so say 10% or less of your calories. Protein isn't usually more than 35% of your calories, that adds up to 45% hence fat is 55% or more (depending on protein).
There are Keto and Low carb groups that don't ask Why but seek to help

I was considering this because for a few month now I got really stress out and I gain weight to a point that my summer clothing was so tight and I don't feel healthy at all I really need to lose at least 40 to 45 lbs... but I keep having those craving for sweet its crazy and carbs so she told me to do this will help and its will help when I see result...
Well I'm just suppose to eat egg, whey protein, chicken, fish...(not fruit at all, no pasta, no bread at all and the veggy are just dark leaves like green lettuce, kale, cucumber I think0 -

It's pretty simple:
Limit carbs to <20g net carbs per day
Meet your protein goal (differs by person - see below)
Eat fat to satiety.
If you want to lose weight on a ketogenic diet, you also need to eat at a deficit. This will help you figure out your calorie goals and carbohydrates, protein, and fat (in grams).

keto is moderate protein, when i do/did it, i was 120g of protein for me, with 200g of fat. the point is to get in to a state called ketosis. If you eat too much protein and/or carbs you won't be in ketosis. It's not a type of diet you "cycle" The point of ketosis is to help with hunger, and some other health benefits, you need to GET IN TO KETOSIS. if you're going to do it, if you're "cycling" you won't get in to ketosis.
This is what I'm suppose to eat for 2 week and more can you tell me if it wrong... or should I just forget about doing this....??? I have not have carbs for 3 days now well I just started this..
Why can't you get to Ketosis if you "bike"
DIET 1 (for 1 day)
MEAL 1
8 egg whites (cooked with spices)
MEAL 2
40g Whey protein diet
MEAL 3
6oz chicken with - 1 cup asparagus or green bean or broccoli
MEAL 4
6oz white fish (tilapia, bossa, tuna, ect) with a green salad with vinegar and mustard
MEAL 5
35g Whey protein or 10 eggs white (cooked)
DIET 2 (for 2 days)
MEAL 1
2 whole eggs + 6 eggs whites
MEAL 2
35g Whey Protein with 1 table spoon all natural peanut butter
MEAL 3
6oz chicken with ¼ cup (1oz) almond, cashews, walnut (vary it)
MEAL 4
6oz salmon or red meat with a green salad (no tomatoes, red pepper, or carrot) with 1 table spoon of olive oil and vinegar.
MEAL 5
35g Whey Protein with 1 table spoon of all natural peanut butter.

ok, so you can still eat carbs like bread and stuff or you get your carbs from fruit
Eat fat to satisfied... what you mean I can eat as much as I want ... ouch will I not gain weight...
how you figure out of how many calorie you need a day for a women?0 -
What you describe is closer to the Dukan diet. Yes you'll probably lose weight.
It's simpler to just set your goals here using the custom function for 5 or 10% of cals from carbs, 20 - 35% from protein and the rest from fats. Then eat what you like that fits those goals.
Egg whites, chicken, tuna are all things I avoid on a keto plan - too much protein relative to fat content.0 -

I'm not sure how many calories I need to be able to lose 2 lbs a week.
Problem with carbs... well I'm not sure but I tend to gain weight its seem and feel really bloaded if I eat bread, but my problem is that I can't get of my sweet tooth ... I seem to crave sugar all the time its drive me nuts.
So this is one reason I decide to maybe try this...0 -
No bread, avoid fruit to start - sugar impairs ketosis. Low sugar berries come later.
The filling nature of the foods means you automatically eat less on a low carb diet, and ketosis suppresses appetite. If you need a guideline about 4 ozs of meat / fish per meal *3 per day using the higher fat content options.
Don't know enough about your stats to say but your current calorie goal of 1300 is not untypical of keto dieters.0 -

I eat no bread and almost no fruit. My carbs come primarily from vegetables and occasionally from fruit or incidental carbs in dairy.
Edited to add: I would be starving on the diet you list above. Your DIET 1 (1 day) has no fat!

If you're interested in giving keto a try, here's a link that can help you with your meals and all that jazz. I've been on this for nearly two years and love it! I rarely feel hungry and it's helped me learn how to be creative in the kitchen!

Ok I'm going to check it out to set those setting later to see if I can.
Too much protein and not enough fat?

Either way, you need to restrict your calories as said.

For me, I love food. I knew that there would not be any other way to do it other than just eating less. I have good friend who has lost around 90 pounds doing the low carb thing. He doesn't miss carbs all that much and can sustain it. I lost around 75 pounds enjoying spaghetti, potatoes, bread, etc. the whole way. Whatever you think gives you the best chance of sustaining and maintaining is the answer. You're the one who has to do the hard work.
Yes it true.... but I don't know if its possible that you have like an intolerance to carbs that even If you eat them and stay into your restricted calories you gain weight?
and I not sure what I really need to eat as calories a day to lose weight I would like to lose 2 lbs a week at least

Ok... but how long before berries? Ok no bread and no fruit... but you get your fiber from where.
So its this right to have like 5 meal a day I have a hard time to eat this I have no appetite...and I actually feel nauseated and headache.
Like meal 3 and meal 4 I have to eat 6oz. of chicken with almond and 6oz of salmon the same day I can't even finish all of that..
Can you have cottage cheese at least0 -
